PURPOSE OF THE POST: Why the post eists and what it has to achieve In conjunction with the Director of Capability and Resources and Deputy Director, Finance Control to coordinate and support the delivery of BTPs Fied Asset Management Plan, Strategy and policies. C. DIMENSIONS OF THE POST The key statistics associated with the post Financial ± Direct or Non-Direct No direct budgetary responsibility Staff Responsibilities ± Direct or Non-Direct The post holder will work closely with the Director of Capability and Resources and Deputy Director, Finance Control to ensure all appropriate systems, processes are in place to enable effective asset and inventory management. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: What the job is accountable for and required to deliver Support the Force Asset Management Group (FAMG) in the strategic oversight of BTPs fied asset and inventory base. Set and oversee a rolling programme of asset and inventory reviews, geographic and thematic, assisting with annual audits and verification eercises as necessary. Ensure that the Asset Review Programme complements and enhances other BTP transformation projects and programmes and service reviews; provide support to project teams on matters related to fied assets and inventory acquisition, development and or management. The development and management of BTPs asset and inventory risk register ensuring risks and mitigating actions are identified and monitored; commissioning and/or undertaking strategic reviews of fied asset categories (e.g. estate, fleet, etc) as appropriate. Maintain fied asset and inventory master data, including assessment of condition and remaining useful life of assets, disposal and income generation opportunities within the corporate database. Monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and delivery of agreed outcomes and financial targets (capital and revenue budgets). E. DECISION MAKING: Make decisions The post holder will be epected to act on their own initiative working closely with OICs and Divisional Management teams to continue to develop and embed the Fied Asset Management strategy to meet ongoing priorities. They will be responsible for BTPs Fied Asset Management strategy and plan and for coordinating its successful implementation. Identifying, advising and working on asset and inventory management risks, where applicable escalating to the Director of Capability and Resources, Deputy Director, Finance Control or the Force Eecutive Board. 4 G. REQUIREMENTS: The skills, knowledge, eperience, qualifications and training required to perform the job. Essential Criteria: Qualifications and Training: A degree in business administration or equivalent; membership of the Institute of Asset Management (or other relevant professional body); Eperience: Sound and relevant work eperience and the following: Etensive work eperience in fied asset and inventory management including working with medium to long term development projects. Ability to interface with technical owners of fied assets and inventory. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work well within a team environment. Good working knowledge of SAP FI-AA and MS Ecel Design and delivery of asset / inventory audits Skills: Page 4 of 6 Form HR8.1.3

5 Ecellent written and oral communication skills including producing high quality business reports. Work closely with Finance Control, Deputy Director and other teams / departments It is essential to have the ability to build ecellent working relationships with outstanding influencing and diplomacy skills.
