PARTICULARS OF THE VET STANDARD 1. Vocational education level 3 rd. 2. State code S Qualification awarded a small business organiser. 4. Basic education secondary II. CONTENT OF THE VET STANDARD 5. Brief description of occupational activity: 5.1. The VET Standard for a small business organiser (hereinafter referred to as the Standard ) has been developed taking into account changes on the labour market, the Small and Medium Business Development Programme for 2010, the Law on Small and Medium Business Development, the Small and Medium Business Development and Promotion Strategy, resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania: the Description of Strategic Directions for Small and Medium Business Development for 2008, the Description of Small and Medium Business Development Measures for , the National Programme for the Implementation of Lisbon Strategy, the Programme of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania for , the State Long-Term Development Strategy, the Lithuanian Long-Term Economic Development Strategy for 2015, the findings of the qualification study carried out by the EU and the Standards Development Working Group. The present Standard serves as a basis for the development of a training programme of vocational education level The Standard for a small business organiser defines the minimum training requirements for a small business organiser for working in the following main activity areas: establishment of a small ; business planning and organisation of a small ; coordination of activity of employees in a small ; communication and cooperation A small business organiser may work in various undertakings or establish a small in order to create employment for him/herself and others. A small business organiser uses information sources, makes business decisions, plans activity of the, organises work in the, deals and collaborates with business partners and other external institutions The following personal qualities are key for a small business organiser: business-mindedness, communicativeness, self-confidence, flexibility and openness. 6. The purpose of a small business organiser is to organise small business.

4 7. Activity areas and competencies of a small business organiser are provided in Appendix 1 to the Standard. 8. Range of competencies, training objectives and competency assessment of a small business organiser are provided in Appendix 2 to the Standard. 9. A small business organiser requires the following general skills: 9.1. mathematical literacy; 9.2. using information technologies; 9.3. participation in discussion; 9.4. communication and cooperation; 9.5. team work; 9.6. loyalty; 9.7. reliability; 9.8. tolerance. 10. Final qualification assessment: The qualification of a small business organiser is awarded to a pupil who has completed the whole training programme, acquired competencies defined in the Standard and has been given a positive final qualification evaluation In accordance with the competency assessment criteria listed in the Standard, the following is tested and evaluated: in the course of the training process - all competencies defined in the Standard; in the course of the final qualification assessment - selected competencies The procedure for organisation and performance of the final qualification assessment and issuance of documents is laid down by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania.
