If you are selected for interview ACCA is unable to cover costs for attendance. Please note that we will not accept applications for more than one role, and ask that you only apply for your preferred role. The information requested in parts 1 6 is removed on receipt and will not be seen by the selection panel assessing your application, but may be used for pre-sift checks and included as part of the interview process.

8 CANDIDATE REFERENCE NUMBER (FOR OFFICE USE ONLY) PART 7: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IT literacy We are moving towards a paperless hearing process, which will mean papers will only be provided electronically. ACCA requires that applicants are confident using various IT packages, and using ipads during the hearing. Training on ACCA processes will be provided. Please check how confident you are in using IT packages on a scale of 1 to 5 (where 1 = very confident and 5 = not confident) PART 8: EXAMPLES OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE This part of the application form gives you the opportunity, by referring to your own experience, to demonstrate that you possess the skills and experience relevant to the role of an accountant panel member of ACCA s disciplinary and regulatory committees. You should provide one example only, in no more than 200 words, to demonstrate how you meet each of the following competencies. (If you exceed your 200 word limit your application may not be progressed). Where possible you should refer to different examples for each of the competencies. You should provide clear and succinct information about yourself and how you meet the criteria that are being tested at this application stage. When being asked to demonstrate the competencies you should give specific examples which best demonstrate to the Selection Panel what it is you did, the reasons for your actions, the skills you used and what specifically about your approach affected the outcome. For each competency please specify: the situation in which you demonstrated the skill, in order to set the scene for the panel how you demonstrated the relevant competency; be specific, explain your personal contribution ( I not we ) the outcome what if anything you would do differently if faced with the same situation again. Ensure your own role in the example is clear and that your answers are specific and tailored to cover the essential competency that is being tested in each question: Your examples in the section will be used to evaluate your application and determine whether you progress to the next stage of recruitment. ANALYSIS AND DECISION MAKING: you will be expected to analyse large volumes of written, complex material provided electronically. Please give an example of where you have had to make an objective assessment of complex evidence, after considering arguments for and against a case, and participated in discussion and proportionate decision-making. 200 words maximum

9 COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION: you will be expected to listen to the views of others, to ask clear, concise and relevant questions, to constructively challenge the views of others and to compromise and accept the majority view if necessary. Please give an example of where you have used these skills. 200 words maximum LEGAL AND REGULATORY FRAMEWORKS: you will be expected to demonstrate understanding of the importance of professional regulation and the public interest. Please provide an example that demonstrates your understanding and how you have used that in your role. 200 words maximum INTEGRITY AND IMPARTIALITY: you will be expected to adopt an objective approach during decision making and to recognise and raise a conflict of interest where applicable. You will be required to demonstrate sensitivity to issues of equality and diversity during discussions. Please give an example of where you have used these skills. 200 words maximum
