2 Superintendent Position The Silver Grove Independent Board of Education is seeking a passionate educational leader who has strong proven leadership skills to continue the tradition of student achievement as the District s next Superintendent. The successful candidate should have administrative experience and be an instructional leader with central office experience a plus as well as experience with budgeting, school finances and facility planning. Along with being an innovator and an effective motivator, candidates should possess a strong working knowledge of current Kentucky Education System threads including best practice for enhancing student achievement. It is important for the candidate to have the ability to effectively communicate and meet the needs of all staff in a fair and consistent manner that promotes teamwork. Being a small District, the Superintendent s contract for employment is full time and the candidate must be willing to take on many duties with a small Central Office staff who work in the capacity of part time. Additionally, candidates will be expected to have excellent people skills and be actively involved in working with the Silver Grove community as well as possess strong morals, ethics, honesty and integrity Silver Grove bordering the Ohio River is located just across the river from Cincinnati in Campbell County. Candidates must hold or be eligible for a Kentucky Superintendent s certification to apply.
