1 PLUMAS RURAL SERVICES Serving people, Strengthening families, Building communities Job Description Title: Hours: Wage Range: Supervisor: Exempt Status: Housing Coordinator Up to 40 hours per week $16.41 per hour to $18.94 per hour Chief Operating Officer Non-Exempt Position Description: The Housing Program provides client services and supports to Plumas County Behavioral Health clients in need of emergency lodging, transitional housing, and ancillary supports, such as prescription drug assistance, utility, and rental assistance. Position is responsible for overall implementation and coordination of housing program including supervision of Maintenance Coordinator and Housing Navigator. The position requires significant client contact and travel. 2 Program Management duties Provision of Clients Services and Transitional Housing Attends webinars, conference calls, etc. to collaborate with statewide partners Responsible for the development, revision and implementation of new regulations, policies, procedures and protocols Trains and instructs Housing staff on new regulations, program changes and emerging issues Ensure day to day operations of the Housing Program by organizing, structuring and planning service delivery Consistently reviews emerging issues in the field of emergency lodging, transitional housing and mental health and plans for upcoming changes Actively engages in future planning for Housing Program including new program development, approval and implementation of new programs, projects, etc. Accountable for working with Chief Operating Officer to ensure the program complies with all fiscal, administrative, and operational requirements as required by the funding sources Ensure that staff are aware of and follow all programmatic and agency policies, procedures and protocols Monitors fidelity of implementation of policies, procedures and protocols Works with Community Training Manager to ensure all inservice trainings with community partners occur annually and/or bi-annually per operational agreements Works with Chief Operating Officer to ensure high quality of services provided and high client satisfaction Works with Program Resource Developer to prepare all client and program statistical data and narratives required by contract Responsible for working closely with Plumas County Behavioral Health (PCBH) Housing Case Manager to ensure the needs of all program participants are met Responsible for working with clients who have been approved by authorized PCBH staff Responsible for locating and securing emergency lodging throughout Plumas County Responsible for ensuring that each area of the County has available emergency lodging during busy times of the year Responsible for developing relationships with landlords and securing transitional housing for PCBH clients Responsible for processing purchase orders for rental, utility, and prescription drug assistance. Responsible for processing purchase orders for BH Commission expenses/reimbursements & PCBH Patient s Rights Advocate Responsible for locating and furnishing transitional housing facilities 7/24/2017 2

Maintain effective communication with staff through regular meetings and personal contact Provide regular communication to Chief Operating Officer on program staff needs and operations Ensures all staff supervised know and comply with all agency procedures as outlined in the Coordinator s Desk Guide, Employee Handbook and Fiscal Procedures Manual Ensures all staff check s at least once daily as appropriate Ensures staff are familiar with fiscal and administrative policies and procedures Ensures all staff attend All Staff meetings Develops notification procedure to ensure all staff supervised are informed in a timely manner of snow days or other emergency office closures Responsibility for meeting cancellation notification to staff supervised Responsibility to ensure staff remains familiar with all emergency procedures for fire or other emergencies Responsibility for ensuring all supervised staff remains aware of policy and procedure changes Assists with office coverage as Checks and responds to twice daily Ensures individual and program calendars are updated weekly on Google Agency Calendar Responsible for completing assigned cleaning tasks and maintaining work and common spaces in a clean and professional manner Assists with events sponsored by service and agency as Assists with other projects as Maintains a valid driver s license and automobile insurance throughout employment 7/24/2017 4

Will have continuous contact with staff and public. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting in excess of 75 pounds with assistance. Must possess sufficient mobility to stoop, reach, climb, kneel and move about to person job duties. Use hands and fingers to feel and grasp. Must travel extensively throughout County.
