CCI produces, distributes and sells sparkling and still beverages of The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) across Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Jordan, Iraq, Syria and Tajikistan. CCI employs over 10,000 people and has a total of 25 plants, offering a wide range of beverages to a consumer base of 380 million people. In addition to sparkling beverages, the product portfolio includes juice, water, sports and energy drinks, tea and iced teas.

3 Impact on performance The impact of this approach on the results are quite clear. We see that CCI Turkey has a strong improvement culture resulting in a high number of suggestions through the CCIdea platform and strong people results for motivation and engagement. This approach for job rotation is also very strongly linked to the strategic management framework and the strategic pillar for people. It was also obvious for the assessor team to see the family culture that very much characterizes CCI Turkey Supply Chain; the loyalty among the people is very high and the sense of working for a company that treat them better than the competitive environment both in their own and other businesses is very evident. Fig 1.1 Employees Motivation Fig 1.2 Employees Engagement Fig 2.0 Number of Suggestions In addition to the described approach on job rotation, this high identification was further strengthened and by setting up the so called Ambassador Program. Within this program CCI Turkey SC people get trained in understanding the product and the company history and foundation. By that, people become prepared for all kinds of discussions in their personal environment, being it topics on directly product related aspects like drinking behaviour or health impact of products or society related topics like discussions and reputation of an American company in Turkey.

4 Approach Job rotation is an approach that has been developed over time in CCI Turkey Supply Chain (SC). It has been a conscious part of the strategy for a long time of CCI Turkey SC to focus on people and use this as a competitive advantage, and different approaches have been developed over the years. The uniqueness of this approach for job rotation is that it is long term and systematic in its execution and deployment. In all locations the Assessment Team visited in CCI Turkey SC they met people both managers and employees that had built up their competencies through working in different locations and parts of the company. It was clear that the people who shifted jobs also were certain that they could return to a preferred site of living later if that was their wish. The reasons for rotating and changing jobs were driven very much by the will to improve the results for the company and sharing good practises with their colleagues. This approach is of course very much integrated with the approach ILead, for developing leadership. The rationale for the approach of job rotation is very much focussed on good practice sharing and sharing of knowledge. Deployment The deployment of this CCI approach was deployed all across the CCI Supply Chain in Turkey at all locations the Assessment Team visited; the Çorlu Plant, Bursa Plant, Izmir Plant, Sapanca plant and the HQ in Istanbul and it was evident everywhere. Assessment and Refinement The effectiveness and efficiency of the approach is clearly shown in the results, both in the people results and the efficiency results at the manufacturing sites. The refinement is supported by tools for career planning, and feedback through 360 degrees interviews and taken as input to the succession planning and also eventually the strategy and business planning process.

5 Fundamental Concepts of Excellence The Fundamental Concepts of Excellence outline the foundation for achieving sustainable excellence in any organisation. They can be used as the basis to describe the attributes of an excellent organisational culture. They also serve as a common language for top management. Managing with Agility Excellent organisations are widely recognised for their ability to identify and respond effectively and efficiently to opportunities and threats.
