1 POSITION DESCRIPTION Position Title: Finance Manager - NZ Date: May 2015 Department: Group Sub department: Location: Wellington Reports to: Senior Finance Manager Australia & New Zealand Direct Reports: Finance Administration Assistant Size of role: $11M revenue, 1 direct report Critical relationships: Position code: Position level: Geographic scope: Senior Finance Manager ANZ, Country Manager-New Zealand, Group Finance, Group human resources, External Auditors, External Accountants Overall job purpose: The Finance Manager NZ role is a vital part of the NZ Finance team and sits on the NZ Leadership Team along with other senior colleagues from Isentia. The role provides the ANZ Finance /Country Manager with accurate and timely financial information; including forecasting throughout the month, completing management accounts and metrics reporting and fulfilling financial compliance obligations. This role is a vital support role for the Country Manager NZ, providing insights and advice based on the story behind the numbers. Finance Manager NZ will look at ways to maximize growth, impact of business change, opportunities to make certain business functions more efficient etc based on the strategic imperatives of the business. Also the role is to provide professional and efficient customer service to all Isentia business partners, clients, suppliers and employees. KEY RESULT AREAS 1 Management Accounts Good performance defined Weighting Produce the Management Accounts for Isentia NZ Management reports Produce the Monthly Revenue Dashboard for NZ Management Team completed on time. 25% Produce financial reporting package for the monthly Board meeting of Isentia (in Australia) 2 Metrics Reporting and Modeling Good performance defined Weighting Provide informative and insightful information Passionate and curious Goes beyond reporting the numbers, understands how certain financial outcomes are derived and the impact on objectives about revenue rather than just reporting it i.e. 25% Creates and manages Pricing Models demonstrates underlying Metrics reports are delivered efficiently and in a timely manner trends with which Management can act upon Implements reporting that enhances the understanding of the business Understands Operating expenses and their drivers to ensure they deliver optimal 1

2 revenue i.e. incentives plans linked to revenue performance Assists Sales with pricing of service offerings to maximise revenue opportunities 4 Forecasting Good performance defined Weighting Provides timely and accurate rolling Forecast to ensure the Identify risks by business is on track to deliver to budget expectations. Product/Teams that may 20% Examines product lines and reports on trends and performance. adversely impact achieving Budget Identify opportunities that will improvement revenue leakage or assist sales to identify upsell opportunities 3 Compliance Good performance defined Weighting Co-ordinate the financial statements and audit of ISentia with Annual Audit successfully the external accountants and auditors completed with minimal 10% Monthly and annual cash flow projection and analysis adjustments required Manage Business Planning and Budget Process Ensure Cash flow is managed effectively with minimal funding required from group Underlying Budgets are based on an understanding of key business drivers which help identify any variances 4 Tax Obligations Good performance defined Weighting Company tax obligations such as FBT, GST, terminal tax and Payments made to tax PAYE authorities by due date 5% Identify Tax strategies to minimize effective tax rate 5 Providing a professional service to the business Good performance defined Weighting Work is completed on-time with a high level of accuracy Consistently high quality work 10% Management reports are created with the end audience in output mind, with a good understanding of what the information will be High level of accuracy used for and how it should be presented. Expectations are wellmanaged Relationships with key stakeholders are well-managed across the business Reliable and trustworthy Expectations for work requested are well-managed, deadlines are managed well and work is prioritized optimally.
