2 Internal Job Openings FAQs 1. Is my company mandated to release all job vacancies in IJP? All job vacancies at Level 1, 2 and 3 will be floated as an IJP within the Group. 2. If I have completed 23 months in my current job position, will I be eligible to apply? In case an employee has completed less than 24 months in his/her current position, he/she is eligible to apply post obtaining supervisor approval. 3. In last two years I had one V and one G as performance rating. Will I be eligible to apply? Any employee with a rating of G or above is eligible to apply. 4. My current department is not same as that of published job position. Will my application be considered for posted Job? In case the current department of the employee is different from the internal job posting department, he/she is eligible to apply if his/her current job level is same as that of published job position but hiring company will shortlist candidates based on their company criteria and candidate s eligibility for the position. The more suitable candidate as per hiring process will get the job. 5. Am I eligible to apply for a higher grade job? You are eligible to apply for one grade higher jobs however your shortlisting and selection will depend on hiring company based on their company criteria and your overall eligibility for the position. 6. How can I see the current Job Postings? The job advertisement (Annexure1) will be circulated amongst the employees through e- mails. (At a later date, the process will be automated and requirements will be posted online and available for employees through as well as online portal). Additionally, open positions can be viewed using the following URL: 7. How can I apply for a vacancy advertised through IJP? The eligible candidates are required to send their application as per the prescribed format (Annexure2) along with the updated resumes to the specified contact (HR responsible for the vacancy) mentioned in the job advertisement. 8. What is the time frame for applying to a job posting? In most cases, the IJP will be active for 2 weeks from the date of posting within which the candidates will have to apply (closing date will be specified in the job ad). In case you miss to apply for an IJP in the stipulated time, please contact the POC of the published job to check if they are still open to receive applications. 9. Do I need to take my supervisor s approval for applying to an IJP? Supervisor s approval is not necessary for applying. As an exceptional scenario, if an employee has completed less than 24 months in his/her current position, only then he/she needs to obtain supervisor approval before applying for an IJP. 2

3 10. What is the selection process post application? Final Selection process may vary from position to position within the corporate recruitment guidelines. 11. Will company reimburse my travel and accommodation in case I need to travel for an interview? Travel Allowance Daily Allowance for attending interviews will be reimbursed to the candidate by the hiring company in accordance with the company policy. 12. If I am selected for a position through IJP, will I receive any increment for taking up new job? In case you are selected through IJP, you will get a minimum 6% increment on the current CTC apart from relocation related benefits. Hiring company may decide if they can offer more increase basis your profile and caliber. 13. I have spent more than 2 years in my current job grade. What will be the criteria to determine the change in designation if I get selected for a higher grade job? If employee has spent > =2 years in same job grade, promotion to be given on reassignment 14. I have spent less than 2 years in my current job grade. What will be the criteria to determine the change in designation if I get selected for a higher grade job? If employee has spent < 2 years in same job grade, promotion to be considered in subsequent appraisal cycle basis performance or depending on hiring company. Gaining company to decide and has option to give promotion on reassignment. 15. What will be the criteria to determine the change in designation if I get selected for a same grade job? In case employee gets selected in same grade job, it doesn t warrant an immediate promotion but promotion may be considered in subsequent appraisal cycles basis performance or depending on hiring company. 16. What is the process to be followed in case I don t receive any mail from hiring company HR for shortlisting/regret? Employees are requested to escalate the non-responsiveness of hiring company to Corporate HR - Internal Job Posting SPOC to help seek the right response. 17. If I get selected but my company does not wish to relieve me due to some business exigency. What will be the guideline in such cases? Post shortlisting the candidate based on their resumes, hiring Company HR will ask the respective Company HR Heads of the shortlisted candidates to provide a NOC from their COO as per the prescribed format (Annexure3). In case a company declines the NOC, they will be mandated to share an alternate career development plan for the employee with Corporate HR. 18. Can I decline for a position post selection and offer? Employee has the option to decline the offer if his/her expectations are not met provided that the reasons stated by the candidate are genuine and valid. 19. How will transfer and joining formalities be taken care post acceptance of the offer by me? The selected employee is to be released at the within 60 days post confirmation of the offer, to take up the new position. The transfer of the selected employee will happen as per the company policy. 3
