2 Assessment Instruments for Intended Student Learning Outcomes Indirect Measures of Student Learning: Targets/Criteria (Objectives) for Indirect Measures: 1. Pre and post-test of service-oriented leadership using the Servant Leadership Inventory (SLI) instrument. Measurement will be conducted during BUS 500 and MHA 85% of students will demonstrate improved average scores in at least six categories from the pre-test to post-test administration of the Servant Leadership Inventory General Program ISLOs Assessed by this Measure: 1 2. End of Program Evaluation End of program evaluations will have a weighted mean score of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale for General Program ISLOs Assessed by this Measure: 2 Program Outcomes questions 3, 5 and 6 3 Program Outcomes questions 7 and 9 6 Program Outcomes questions 10 and 11 the items listed 3. Course Evaluation The groups evaluate each module upon completion using a standard evaluation form. Course evaluation questions 5,14,15, and 21 will be used to assess the noted learning outcome in the course as noted. Measure: 85% of students will score an 85% or higher on their Leadership Development Plan paper using the Servant Leadership Rubric. Result: 92% of students scored an 85% or better. 2. Summary of Results from Implementing Indirect Measures of Student Learning: 1. Servant Leadership Pre and Post Test Target: 85% of students will demonstrate improved average scores in at least six categories from the pre-test to posttest administration of the Servant Leadership Inventory. Result: Measure will be reported in End of Program Evaluation - End of program evaluations will have a weighted mean score of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale for the items listed. Result: 4.4 mean on a 5.0 scale. 3. Course Evaluation Course and faculty evaluations will have a mean score of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale for the items listed. Result: 3.4 mean on a 4.0 scale.

Action items completed successfully. Proposed Courses of Action for Improvement in Learning Outcomes for which Targets Were Not (include review of results from previous three years to provide context for current year results): Course evaluations have a mean score of 3.4 out of a 4.0 scale. Target met, but with wide variation by instructor. Timely feedback is an area that needs improvement. Action: Training of faculty and adjuncts is a focus of the program this year. Adjunct Faculty Training Guide has been developed. Adjunct training is in process. All and Indirect Student Learning Outcomes : This could be indicative of grading style of a program staffed with adjuncts. Human Resources - students are supported in their learning by outstanding team of faculty. 2. Resource Allocation - number of students enrolling in programs will at a minimum generate break-even revenues for the department. 3. Productivity and Growth - the programs will generate a reasonable share of institutional credit hours. 4. Faculty Load - full-time and adjunct faculty will maintain a reasonable number of course preps and teaching load. Assessment Measures/hods for Intended Operational Outcomes: Targets/Criteria (Objectives) for Operational Assessment Measures/hods: 1. End of Program Evaluations and Module Evaluations End of Program Evaluation Academic Advising 1-4, Program IOOs Assessed by this Measure: 1 Support 1-4 with scores of 4.0 (5.0 scale) Program Support items 6 12 with scores of 4.0 (5.0 scale) 80% of our students complete the program in three years. 2. Deans Annual Report The percentage of dollars allocated to MHA will be commensurate IOOs Assessed by this Measure: 2, 3 with the percentage of credit hours generated by MHA. 3. Summary of Results for MHA Resources vs. MHA credits hours sold- Measure: The percentage of dollars allocated to MHA will be commensurate with the percentage of credit hours generated by MHA; Result: MHA generated 14.7% of graduate credit hours sold and accounted for 11.3% of graduate program expenditures 5. Summary of Results for Percentage of Institutional Credit Hours Sold Measure: Maintain or increase the percentage of program credit hours sold as a percentage of institutional credit hours sold at 3% or higher. Result: MHA generated 3% of institutional credit hours sold. 6. Summary of Results for Percentage of Credits Taught by Adjunct Faculty Measure: The percentage of credits taught by adjunct faculty will be 70% or less. Action items completed successfully. Proposed Courses of Action for Improvement in Operational Outcomes for which Targets Were Not (include review of results from previous three years to provide context for current year results): Human Resources- End of Program Evaluation-IT support-action: IT support has seen significant reorganization this past academic year. In addition to changes in the IT Department, many changes at the program level such as use of templates in the Course Management System will provide a platform for implementing a process for course management. Human Resources - End of Program Evaluation Academic Advising 1-4, Program Support 1-4 with scores of 4.0 (5.0 scale). Action: saw significant change and reorganization in faculty and leadership of the MHA programs. Some students experienced three directors in their tenure in the program. Goal for will be 4.2 mean out of 5.0. Consistent leadership will be a driver of increased scores in the area of academic advising. Faculty Load - full-time and adjunct faculty will maintain a reasonable number of course preps and teaching load. The percentage of credits taught by adjunct faculty will be 70% or less. Action: saw significant change in the MHA program with changes in faculty, addition of faculty and changes to program leadership. Faculty load should see significant improvement given faculty increase. Significant changes have been made within the adjunct pool with the hiring of adjuncts that are academically or professionally qualified for specific course offerings.
