The event attracted more than 2000 delegates from more than 60 countries, the highest number ever recorded in the history of WFPMA s World HR Congresses. The exposition was also the largest HR show in Singapore, with more than 90 exhibitors representing the human capital industry. This event was graced by Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong. 1.2 Following the success of the 11th World HR Congress, in May 2007, SHRI launched its inaugural, local and international event in Singapore -Singapore HR Congress- to reach out to leaders and practitioners to meet, discuss and solve pertinent HR issues. The Singapore HR Congresses since 2007 have been attended by more than delegates annually from Singapore and Asia Pacific providing with more than 30 exhibitors from the Human Capital Industry. In 2010, delegates from 13 countries participated in the Congress. 1.3 The Singapore HR Congress & Business-Connect Exposition 2014 will once more provide the same platform for global exchange, learning and sharing among business leaders and HR Professionals. The speakers and panelists at the Singapore HR Congress 2014 would also discuss various strategies that leaders and organisations could adopt to overcome the challenge of developing a highly-skilled, productive and innovative workforce, given the shrinking workforce. Award-winning CEOs/HR Leaders would be featured in a CEO panel discussion where they would share their thoughts on the strategies that they implement to drive human capital. This year s HR Congress would also bring together recipients of the Singapore HR Awards 2014 to discuss and share leading trends in human resources management practices. It would also showcase and honor award-winning CEOs and HR Directors that have displayed human capital excellence in their work and organisations. These winners have received awards in a variety of categories, from performance management to human capital development to employee relations. The Singapore HR Congress 2014 serves as a platform for discussing new directions in HR management practices in Singapore leading to Singapore s Human Capital in Hear from officials and leaders of local & International organisations on their perspectives on hiring policies in Singapore, implications of a shrinking workforce, integration of foreign talent to create an inclusive workforce and trends in work-life integration and HR strategies leading to the upcoming HR trends and directions in Singapore.
