23 Bio-Based Industries Consortium (BIC): vēsture Bio Based Industries Consortium nodibināts 2012.gadā, Briselē Mērķis: pārstāvēt privāto sektoru BBI JU Asociācija, kas pārstāv rūpniecību, tās intereses 10 July 2013: European Commission proposes an "Innovation and Investment Package" containing 5 JTIs, including the newcomer on Bio-based Industries. 27 June 2014: the Public-Private Partnership on Biobased Industries comes into force. The BBI Joint Undertaking is officially established. 9.jūlijs, 2014: tiek izsludināts 1.projektu konkurss (1st Call for Proposals)

25 Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking Bio-Based Industries JU ir: ES dalībvalstu un biorūpniecības pārstāvju (Bio Based Industries Consortium - BIC) PPP projekts 3,7 miljardi investīcijām , t.sk. 2,7 miljardi privātais kapitāls (BIC) Mērķis Īstenot Eiropas bioekonomikas potenciālu, īpaši lauku teritoriju potenciālu Izmantot pārstrādes atlikumus un atkritumus jaunu produktu ieguvē Izstrādāt inovatīvas biorafinērijas tehnoloģijas BBI rīcības un finanšu instruments Rūpniecisko (industriālo) pētījumu un inovācijas atbalstam Ceļa no pētniecības līdz tirgum saīsināšanai
