1 Adding Prescreening Questions 1. To begin adding questions from the question library, click Add. 2. This brings up a search-list menu for prescreening questions. Select questions based on the listed qualifications for the position. Date Created: 2/25/2016 2:55:00 PM Page 1

2 3. Use the quick filters at bottom left to search for questions based on phrasing, question code, or keyword. Once you've found the question you're looking for, click Select. 4. Choose enough questions that the system can reliably sort between candidates with different qualifcations. In this case, we have selected two questions that inquire into job requirements and one that provides a list of possible job assets to select from. When you are finished, click Done. 3 5. The next step is to tell Taleo which skills and experiences are requirements and which are assets. The first question gauges the candidate's education. An Associate's is the minimum required. We list the Associate's degree as "Required" and leave lower answers as "Not Applicable." Anyone who selects a Not Applicable answer will not meet the requirement. To make sure Taleo sorts candidates correctly, we apply the Equal Or Greater Rule: The minimum education is listed as required, along with all greater degrees. If these greater qualifications are not listed as required, then candidates with higher eductation will not receive credit for the requirement. Date Created: 2/25/2016 2:55:00 PM Page 3

4 6. The second question gauges a candidate's experience in chocolate making, either professional or amateur. The position requires 18 months professional experience or extensive independent experience. As before, we apply the Equal Or Greater Rule: The minimum experience is listed as required, along with all greater amounts of experience. 7. The final question lets candidates choose any from a list of specific job experiences. Each of these experiences is listed as an asset, with the "None of the Above" option listed as Not applicable. 5 8. You are not limited to questions in the questions library. You can also create questions specific to your requisition. Begin by clicking the "Create a question" icon. 9. Here you can create a new quesiton to ask your applicants. You can use the Answer Type dropdown menu to select a type of question. 6 10. Using the dropdown box, you can select whether candidates will select a single answer or multiple answers from a list. You can also choose a text answer question. Taleo cannot read English. Candidate responses to text answer questions will not be considered in a candidate's ACE score. 11. After selecting a question type, enter the wording of the quesiton into the Question field. 7 12. Enter the Possible Answers in the fields below the Question field. You can use the Add Answer button to create a new answer field, and the X buttons to the right to delete a field. 13. 10 18. You will need to tell Taleo how many job assets a candidate should have in order to be considered an ACE candidate. To set this, click Modify Alert. 19. Use the dropdown menu to tell Taleo how many assets a candidate should have in order to be considered an ACE.
