The successful applicant for this junior position within our Information Technology department will make a contribution to enhancing our engaging and innovative learning community. Position Title: Reports to: Status & Tenure: Classification Assistant Coach Swimming Head Coach, Swimming and Business Manager Casual Contract, 20 hours per fortnight approximately during Summer season and 15 hours approximately during Winter season. Start and finish times as required by the position to be negotiated with Head Coach Swimming at commencement. Salaried commensurate with Accreditation level, with minimum being $27.56 per hour plus superannuation. Educational (Schools) General Staff Award 2010 and Catholic Employing Authorities Single Enterprise Collective Agreement Religious Institute Schools of Queensland THE ROLE The Assistant Coach Swimming assists the Head Coach Swimming in their responsibility for the swim program, squads and operational pool requirements of St Rita s College and the Acqua Rosa Clayfield Swimming Club. The role works approximately 20 hours per fortnight during the Summer season and approximately 15 hours per fortnight during the Winter season, with days and times determined by the St Rita s and Acqua Rosa Clayfield operational requirements. The role requires both weekday and weekend hour of duty. The successful applicant will hold the minimum of a Bronze Licence coaching qualification. The position is Contract to September 2019 with subsequent appointment subject to the continued designation of the position and a satisfactory performance review undertaken in August DUTIES Duties include but are not limited to: Assist the Head Swimming Coach in implementing the program that caters for a range of abilities from Junior squad, CaSSSA and state and national swimmers Develop and implement, with the guidance of the Head Coach, a junior program focusing on skill and technique progression. Assist and conduct development/ CaSSSA training sessions on any given morning and afternoon. Attend and assist with midweek carnivals and club nights ATTRIBUTES Exhibit a sound standard of swimming instruction and customer service Hold current qualifications and skills at all times Promote a positive swimming environment at St Rita s College and with Acqua Rosa Swim Club Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education

2 Hold developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with a range of clientele and particularly school aged children Be punctual and reliable Provide enthusiasm and motivation Work well as a team member and independently MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS A valid Queensland Working with Children Check Positive Paid Employee Notice is mandatory. Valid Bronze, or higher, Swimming Coaching credential is mandatory.
