Programme Methodology The Programme will be Practical and Pragmatic. It will be a combination of power point presentation, practical case studies and syndicate work. It will place emphasis on discussion of the direction of organisations in the context of public and private sectors. 2

3 Faculty World class faculty members in Directors Development will lead the programme. Dr. David Demetrius Dr. Demetrius is a world class Management Consultant of the Management School London, which specialises in the provision of training, mentoring and coaching of board directors and senior executives in all aspects of management and corporate governance. In addition he currently spends part of his time working with ABIS (The Academy of Business in Society) and ASPEL (the Association for Professional Executive Learning). He also consults on the implementation of social media tools into organisations to enable collaboration and engagement. The majority of David's career has been in the corporate world. He has worked in many different roles including CEO, CFO, business development, marketing and sales and he has been heavily involved in many aspects of corporate management including establishing joint ventures, several significant acquisitions, an MBI, an MBO, preparation for a stock exchange flotation (IPO) and a major merger. He has considerable experience in the formation, development and governance of companies in a number of European countries. He has over 30 years experience in management of and consultancy to companies (from SMEs to large multinationals), governmental bodies and financial institutions throughout Europe, the United States, Australia, Africa and Asia. His expertise covers a wide variety of industries, including Chemicals, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Oil & Gas, Banking & Financial Services, Household Goods and Environmental Management. With a colleague, in 1987 he founded a group of companies specialising in project management and consultancy services for complex or large Information Technology and Telecoms programmes and projects, building it to annual sales of over 100 million with approximately 500 professional staff by the time he sold his shareholding in the group in His IT background also includes over 5 years in software development and consultancy with ICL plc. David is a member of the board of directors of several European companies and from 2000 to 2007 was the Chairman for Continental Europe of the Institute of Directors and a member of the governing Council of the Institute in the UK. He is also an honorary member of the European Foundation for Management Development. He is a Doctor of Business Administration, and his thesis is on the topic of 'The utilisation of organisational learning capabilities for organisational sustainability'. He started is career as a Senior Lecturer at a University Business School in Australia. He is a fully qualified accountant and has other degrees in mathematics and business as well as being a fellow of several professional institutes. David speaks good French and Dutch and has a working knowledge of Spanish and German as well as some Italian. Programme Fees: Lagos, Nigeria The fee for the programme in Lagos, Nigeria is =N=899,500 (Eight Hundred and Ninety-nine thousand, five hundred naira) per participant. The fee for international participants is 2,950 (Two thousand Nine hundred and fifty pounds sterling) per participant. Programme fee for Accra - Ghana, Dubai - U.A.E., London - Britain and Nairobi - Kenya is 2950 (Two thousand nine hundred and fifty pounds sterling) per participant.
