1 ROLE PROFILE Role title Location Reporting structure Senior Reliability Engineer Asset Management Shared Service, Sunninghill National Technical Manager Closing date 5 June 2018 ROLE SUMMARY The Reliability Engineer is involved in the core Asset Management activities required to develop, implement and improve the Netcare Asset Management Strategy within the organisation through the Asset Management Shared Service. The incumbent becomes a key resource to the management team of Technical Services department as well as other divisions (911, Primary Care, NRC) This role is guided by the outcomes of the Engineering Council of South Africa competency standards: Essential Activities of Professional Engineers: 1. 2 Shared Service Management KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop, implement and improve Asset Management within the organisation. Define and document information that specifies how organisational objectives are to be converted into asset management objectives, the approach for developing asset management plans, and the role of the asset management system in supporting achievement of the asset management objectives. Document and manage asset information standards to define explicitly the data and information that is required, why the data is required, how it is collected and measured, the format it is required in, who should provide it and when it shall be provided. Oversee the development and implementation of asset care plans in support of the asset management objectives and strategy. Define and document how the organisation intends to collate, maintain, utilise and dispose of asset information to support both strategic planning and life cycle delivery activities. Classification of assets to an agreed topology in order to allow an overall asset inventory to be created and managed. Ensure continuous improvement of asset management practices and periodic refining of the asset management strategy in line with findings and recommendations resulting from KPI reporting. Best Practice Management Stay abreast of asset management industry trends and improvement strategies with the view to incorporate into Netcare s asset management strategies and activities. Define, develop and implement improvement projects for technical procedures and systems. Asset Management Systems Accountable to manage changes to all Technical Services systems used to collect, store, process and analyse the asset information that the organisation requires to manage its assets over their Life Cycle. This includes but is not limited to computerised maintenance management systems (SAP PM, On Key), procurement systems (My Market), and project systems (PPO). Reporting Monitoring and Reviewing Manage the process of monitoring, reviewing and updating all Technical Services systems and documentation in the organisation. Perform system audits to ensure that any defined functional and performance attributes of a configuration item have been implemented / achieved in a consistent and systematic manner. General Administration Provide assistance to National Projects as required for Clinical and Plant Equipment. Review monthly reports on all Plant Maintenance Sigma categories and logs and manage implementation of required action.

3 Provider Management Maintain working relationship with software providers and consulting specialists to ensure favourable services are provided as and when required. Negotiate with providers to ensure optimal price and service. SKILLS PROFILE EDUCATION BSC or B. Eng Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical engineering CMRP, CRL or similar Business Degree WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum of 10 years operational experience. Minimum of 3 years asset management experience. Excellent Microsoft office skills with a high degree of competency on Excel. Advanced user status in SAP PM. Supervisory experience. KNOWLEDGE The incumbent will need to not only execute but also implement, guide, advise and instruct Regional Technical Managers on business processes pertaining to: Work Management Service Level Agreements Maintenance Programme Development Performance Reporting Failure Analysis Technical Services Improvement Project Identification and Motivation Asset Performance Asset Condition Asset Refurbishment Strategies SAP PM Previous Technical Management within healthcare and advantage Asset Management as a discipline of engineering including ISO 55001
