1 Business Development Manager Navitas Professional, Internships & Employment Sydney, Full time Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, English language training and settlement services, creative media education, workforce education and student recruitment. Navitas, or PIBT as it was then, was founded in 1994 with the goal of helping more international students succeed at university in Australia via improved student support and an extended academic year. Since that time, Navitas has significantly expanded the services it offers its students and clients and is now creating opportunities through lifelong learning for over 83,000 people in 31 countries per year. The Navitas Professional operations deliver internship and workplace preparatory courses across seven Australian locations to meet the requirements of national professional associations and the workforce generally. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, to deliver growth and expansion of I&E teaching and learning programs and new partnerships. This role works closely with the Director I&E and the broader I&E management team as well as marketing personnel within Navitas to identify and assess new business opportunities and develop proposals to grow existing programs and expand I&E operations within and external to Navitas both nationally and potentially offshore. In parallel to this, the Business Development Manager, is expected to identify initiatives to expand the I&E industry network to meet I&E future needs. The purpose of the role is to ensure I&E broadens its scope of programs and partnerships and delivers programs that are competitive and responsive to industry need. This will require the development of strong relationships with existing and new industry partners. The Business Development Manager has a key role in optimising the financial growth and EBITDA of the I&E operation through ensuring an expanded range of cost effective programs and partnerships are established. The I&E Partnership Manager will report to this role. The Business Development Manager will be required to travel both within Australia and potentially internationally. Overview and Objectives of the Position: The Business Development Manager (I&E) is responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, to deliver growth and expansion of I&E teaching and learning programs and new partnerships. Key Relationships: The I&E Business Development Manager is a member of the I&E management team and works closely with: i. Director, I&E ii. I&E Managers iii. Navitas Marketing personnel iv. Industry partners v. Potential new university and education partners vi. Education agents vii. Accrediting and regulatory authorities 3. Key Result Areas: 1. New business development Review and evaluate the domestic and international student markets to identify opportunities for I&E in a changing higher education sector including the identification of new products and services Review and assess opportunities for new partnerships with business units within the Navitas network Research and build relationships with potential new clients Page 3

4 Analyse market and sales potential of new product opportunities Assist in pricing new products and services Develop and document approaches and pitches to potential new clients and to accompany proposals Provide advice on key aspects of differentiation and approaches to relevant market segments for new products and services Work with the I&E management team and E&C Marketing team to develop and define key market segments to target in order to drive new business development initiatives 2. Existing business development Review and identify existing client needs (students, industry, educational partners) with a view to developing products and services that meet these needs Work with the I&E management team and E&C Marketing team to identify where new products and services may enhance existing business segments Identify and develop opportunities with Navitas business units and partners 3. Industry Engagement and development Develop strategies and initiatives which enhance industry partner engagement and expand the number and quality of host companies Develop strategies for effective management of industry relationships 4. Business development planning Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences and provide feedback and information on market, provider initiatives and trends Undertake analysis of market and competitors and identify I&E unique selling propositions and differentiators Actively engage with the I&E management team on market developments and trends with a view to developing new products and services and new distribution channels Ensure a thorough understanding of I&E and Navitas core strengths and capabilities 5. Reporting and Administration Prepare regular reports on business development and industry engagement activity as required 6.
