To support all staff in the workplace to achieve competent status. Page 1 of 6

Responsible for liaison with the, RBFRS Directorates, Commercial Organisations and any other external agencies as appropriate. Context Support for all learners in the qualifications found within the Services policies and procedures to ensure that learners are able to meet the requirements of the Fire Service Role Maps and PDS modules. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Contribute to the development and implementation of objectives for the ntegrated Personal Development System (PDS) as it relates to NVQs and other related qualifications and development programmes. Deliver and provide support, guidance and work place assessment for staff assessors in development for the assessment qualification (CAVA), nternal Quality Assurance (QA), and support to learners undertaking development programmes. Develop and deliver and provide support, guidance and work place assessment for AET learners. nternally quality assure QA, CAVA and AET learners and other appropriate qualifications. Contribute fully to the design and delivery of the department service plan and objectives. Provide support to workplace assessors to ensure continuous progress for fire fighters in development (some of which will necessitate evening work). Contribute to the development and implementation of electronic quality systems to meet Awarding Organisation requirements. Undertake master administration for the Smart Assessor system. Support the RBFRS Resourcing and Development Manager / Station Manager Learning Support to ensure that all the quality assurance criteria is achieved for the external audits. Provide accurate records, which compliant with Service policies and procedures and relevant Codes of Practice. Page 2 of 6

3 To participate in the development of Continuous Professional Development opportunities for QA s and assessors via e-learning, in-house courses and 1:1s as appropriate. Preparation and delivery of teaching materials and lesson plans including e-learning as appropriate. Contribute to continuous improvement of all delivery and utilise best practice. Prepare reports on progress of all learners on relevant programmes. Contribute to service processes and update as necessary. Attend organisational CPD events as required. Ensure the maintenance of accurate and reliable data held within both manual and electronic HR information systems, entering information as appropriate in accordance with the Data Protection Act and act at all times in line with the principles of the Data Protection Act n order to secure the best possible service to the public or the welfare of their colleagues, all employees may from time to time be asked to undertake appropriate duties which fall outside their usual area of responsibility. 5 Experience of delivering QA qualifications and workplace assessment Experience Experience of teaching assessor A1 or CAVA and AET. Demonstrable areas of success rates in the delivery of educational, business and lifelong learning / Qualifications D32/33 or A1 or CAVA D34/V1 or QA (units 1 & 2) AET CTLLS or DTLLS (or equivalent quailfications) Other requirements Demonstrable skills in the interpretation and application of Awarding Organisation standards Computer Literate and able to use electronic office systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and databases. Coaching and mentoring current qualification Video conferencing Ability to travel around the county independent of public transport Excellent time management skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities, planning own time accordingly Page 5 of 6
