3 Customer Telephone: (301) ext. joel.carpenter@navy.mil Period of Performance: 02/16/2009-2/15/2014 Contract Type: CPFF Contract Value: $193,388, Project Description: For this contract, AMEWAS provides Program Management, Engineering, Technical, and Administrative Personnel in support of the NAWCAD AIR (Battlespace Modeling & Simulation Division) and AIR (Integrated Combat Environments) Divisions. The AIR Division is the Test and Evaluation center of excellence for the modeling and simulation of the modern Battlespace environment behaviors and interactions. The Division provides credible, repeatable models of highly complex, interactive and reactive environments that are used across the Department of Defense and the Naval Air Systems Command for training, testing, analysis, and experimentation. The AIR Division spans the competencies of all aspects of Integrated Combat Environments, including Electronic Warfare, Weapons, Command and Control, and E3. AIR performs and supports full spectrum RDT&E of highly integrated / adaptive aircraft, weapon, ground, and distributed systems through the application of secure and controlled engineering combat environments and by the use of a suite of fully integrated simulation / stimulation laboratories. This environment is developed, integrated, validated, and maintained by a collection of highly integrated, laboratory-oriented branches that collaborate across the major standing

4 Enterprise teams. Also, AIR provides integrated, interactive, and repeatable synthetic environments in support of the warfighter, and reduces risk and cost for programs throughout their lifecycle by the use of simulation and stimulation tools, techniques, and technologies. Their facilities include ACETEF, IBAR, E3 Enterprise Teams, and NAVAIR ground test facilities at both NAWC-AD and NAWC-WD. AMEWAS s contract tasking involves: providing personnel and services related to T&E planning, engineering, operations, maintenance, administration and management of test activities and infrastructure; test and facility engineering, technical, administrative and management support software / hardware / system engineering of modeling, simulation, stimulation, interface, instrumentation and data reduction/reporting subsystems; program / project management of labor, travel and material expenditures by project activity; electronics / test technician facility and test configuration, operations and postevent breakdown; operations research and subject matter expert test event design to satisfy Integrated Test Events (DT, OT and combined events); draftsmen to support test event engineering and facility designs and incremental upgrades; facility custodial activities as well as maintenance and operations support; IT infrastructure system and network administrators, information assurance specialists, and related engineering and technician support; administrative, clerical and technical writing support; and procurement, inventory management as well as shipping and receiving. Our efforts on this contract are highly relevant to this Pillars contract in size,

5 scope (~193M, 140MY/yr), and relevance to C2 / C5ISR effort performed for a similar acquisition command customer. No significant problems occurred during contract performance.
