Job Description Astbury has an immediate need for an individual holding an Indiana Wastewater License for our wastewater treatment systems located in Floyd and Harrison Counties. This position which will support at least 30-hours per week initially will transition to parttime in the long-term and will primarily involve operating and maintaining several Class I Wastewater Treatment Facilities and associated Collection Systems. All laboratory testing is subcontracted, so duties will be limited to operations and routine maintenance, monthly regulatory reporting, management and/or completion of facility repairs and improvements, and provision of emergency response. Other tasks might include management of repair and maintenance subcontractors, scheduling of routine maintenance, and a variety of related duties. Candidates must be reliable and organized with a strong work ethic. This position will report to Astbury s Area Manager of Southern Operations. General Skills & Experience Candidates must possess experience operating Wastewater Treatment Systems and knowledge of a variety of maintenance and repair-related tasks specific to electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure components commonly located within these systems. In addition, candidates most have a high degree of flexibility and reliability. In emergency situations, this employee will sometimes need to be on-call nights and weekends especially during adverse weather conditions. Education & Certifications This position requires: A High School Diploma A valid Drivers License An Indiana Class I Wastewater Operators License Special preference is given to candidates that possess higher levels of Wastewater and/or Water Licenses, Kentucky Licenses, Lift Station Maintenance Capabilities, College or Associates Degrees, Technical and Mechanical Capabilities, and/or Electrical Skills or Certifications.
