Abut the Grup The Deputy Chief Executive (Plicy) Grup includes the Audit and Risk, Cmmunicatins, Executive Services, Strategy and Perfrmance and Internatinal Security and Disarmament Divisins. Abut the Divisin Executive Services Divisin (ESD) has respnsibility fr managing the Ministry's respnses t infrmatin requests frm Ministers, requests thrugh the Official Infrmatin Act, and frm Parliament, requests frm the media, and frm the public. ESD als includes the Infrmatin Services team, cmprising research librarians wh service the whle Ministry t enable timely and efficient infrmatin sharing, thrugh publicatins, media summaries and research (including specialist bulletins). ESD enables peple in the frntline t make mre f a difference and have mre impact we wrk alngside divisins t help them cmmunicate with New Zealand. Abut the Psitin The Ministry supprts a range f flexible wrk ptins as the default setting fr all psitins. The Research Librarian is a specialist psitin in the Infrmatin Service team within ESD. The Research Librarian is respnsible fr: Prviding tailred research and training services fr Ministry f Freign Affairs staff, including in legal research and use f legal databases Prviding a Ministry-wide daily current awareness service including cllating and distributing newsletters and bulletins. Supprt fr external supplier and cntract management Library bk, jurnal and article circulatin Key Accuntabilities The fllwing key accuntabilities f this rle assist in delivering the Ministry s purpse. Circulatin and current awareness Circulatin f library bks and jurnals Indexing and circulatin f jurnal articles Preparatin and circulatin f a daily Ministry media bulletin service and a daily targeted alerts service Shared library functins: Inductin and training f Ministry staff in the use f the full range f Infrmatin Service resurces Research, reference wrk and liaisn with assigned Ministry divisins and psts Crisis media mnitring as required Shelving and shelf checking Vendr liaisn Leadership
