1 Gifts in Wills Officer The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation is the fundraising arm of Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The Foundation s mission is to enhance Peter Mac s ability to achieve better health outcomes for people with cancer. It does this by providing funds for the best people, best facilities, medical equipment, education programs and research initiatives. The Foundation's aim is to provide significant and sustainable funding to Peter Mac to enable it to reach its health care vision and mission. Fundraising plays a crucial role in advancing cancer research at Peter Mac. While our internationally recognised cancer researchers have great success in securing competitive project grants, these grants rarely fund new innovative projects or the state-of-the-art technologies and resources needed to undertake these research projects. Funds raised by the Foundation give some of the brightest minds in cancer research the specialised technologies they need to make important new discoveries. VISION AND VALUES Peter Mac strives to be the best in cancer care, accelerating discovery, translating to cures. How we go about our work is as important as what we achieve. Everything we do is underpinned by our core values, Excellence, Compassion and Innovation. EXCELLENCE COMPASSION INNOVATION We ensure clinical practice is evidence-based, patient-centred, and provided by qualified and experienced staff.
