Year Joined BS 2008 I joined Berkeley Scott as a consultant after previously spending 4 years working for smaller, more local agencies within the same sector. I had always aspired to work for one of the larger national agencies, but had been put off by their blanket approach to clients and lack of understanding of the hospitality industry in the local area. From the outset Berkeley Scott was the complete opposite. In my interview they explained how passionate the company were about being specialists in their field, and how all recruiters held a strong background in hospitality previous to working at Berkeley Scott. That, combined with some fantastic incentives and rewards made joining the company a no brainer. Today, I have just completed my eighth year at Berkeley Scott and can honestly say this is the best work decision I have ever made! The North West chef division, is now a team of six superb consultants, all with a huge passion for our industry. We are the largest chef division in the North West and benefit from a great reputation. I have been promoted to senior and now principal consultant, and have been trusted to lead new tenders, both on a local and national level. I ve been taken to Portugal, St Anton (snowboarding), Las Vegas and even the mighty Reading to celebrate our achievements. Overall I feel that the time I have spent here has benefitted me personally and professionally and I can only hope for more success in the future. Name - Matt Turvill Position - Manager for London and South East for Chef and Hotels Year Joined I Joined as a recruitment consultant based in Guildford and moved up to London in early I decided to join Berkeley Scott as they had the best reputation for hospitality recruitment and a friend who worked for a rival agency recommended it as a great career move. Being ultracompetitive and a keen sportsman, recruitment has been a great way to use my skills. Most importantly, I didn t want to put my time and experience as a chef to waste, so obviously chef recruitment was right up my street. When I first started out with Berkeley Scott, I was lucky enough to learn off some very experienced consultants, who were all extremely accommodating and helpful in my transition from kitchen to recruitment, which was somewhat alien at the start. The main benefit is the regular commission we get to make; It has helped me do many things I could never afford to do previously, something which I don t think I could have done at many other companies. Primarily I recruit for senior chef positions, and have been doing so over the last 2 years. Since joining I have been lucky enough to go to the 2 incentive to St Anton skiing and Cyprus. I was promoted to take over the chef team at the start of 2016 and most recently took over the hotel division in the summer. It is incredible what I have been able to achieve in the short time I have been here and shows that Berkeley Scott really encourage individual growth. In the Future I would like to be millionaire and retire! 2

Year joined I joined Berkeley Scott as a Front of House Recruitment Consultant at our Leeds branch in July I have over 15 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry, working in all sectors, on all levels. I have done everything from waiting on, to managing high performing restaurants, working within the luxury hotel sector, running weddings and events and fine dining. I was also a national trainer, delivering training and restaurant openings across the whole of the UK & Ireland. I am a massive peoples person and have a huge passion for the development of others; recruiting only the best within the industry. I decided to move out of operations and build my career in recruitment so I could put my passion to use. Applying to Berkeley Scott for me was a no brainer, as we shared the same visions. They are the industry experts in the hospitality recruitment world and have an outstanding reputation for delivering the best customer experience. The reasons I love working for Berkeley Scott so much is because it s challenging, and extremely rewarding. I love being able to manage my own desk, clients and team and have the best support from my colleagues within the business.
