1 We are pleased to inform you that FMM Penang Branch will be organizing FMM Seminar on Managing Diversity at Workplace. We live in a rich diverse culture and our work environment is equally abundant with human resources of different background, experience and expertise. Depending on our ethnic and cultural background, our values, beliefs and ways of doing things determine our work habits, communication styles and guides the way we see ourselves and relate with others. In the work environment, we may encounter similarities and differences and we interpret them according to our own cultural lens perspective. The issues and multiculturalism play an important role in creating harmony, teamwork spirits and successful management of an organization. This two-day seminar provides participants with insights, knowledge and practical strategies to sensitively manage the issues and challenges associated with leading a culturally diverse team. Leaders will also understand how cultural diversity impacts on human behaviour and learn effective strategies to negotiate and deal with the competing challenges arising between staff from diverse cultural and linguistics' backgrounds. The seminar will be conducted in English & Bahasa Malaysia. 2 SPEAKER Mr. Steven Khong is a certified motivational speaker and self-development coach in the MLM and MNC fraternity since He has conducted a lot of seminar courses for many entrepreneurs, managers and leaders in the industry. Among the courses he designed are The Winning Attitude, Train The Trainer program, Public Speaking program, Communication Skills, Leadership Skills, Customer Service and Road To Peak Performance Manager program. During the course of his training, he has traveled extensively in the South East Asia region to share his experience with a lot of entrepreneurs and industry leaders where he spent two years in India and three years in Indonesia. His training is geared towards accelerate learning with emphasis on involvement, interaction, innovation, positive attitude collaboration, paradigms and teamwork. His presentation is short, humorous and witty with a lot of short stories and motivational anecdotes to send the desired messages to the participants involved. Steven s forte lies in intra-personal skills such as changing the mind set of an individual by altering their set of beliefs and perception and developing their self-awareness to a new level.
