1 City of Lake Mary Position Vacancy Announcement POSITION TITLE: Tennis Center Coordinator PAY RANGE: $ $23.86 DEPARTMENT: Parks and Recreation MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a community college or equivalent with an Associate s Degree supplemented by two (2) years progressively responsible direct experience in Parks and Recreation, event planning or hospitality with an excellent track record with customer service. A combination of training and experience may qualify an applicant for consideration. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must possess or have the ability to obtain certification in ICS 100 and 700 within six (6) months of hiring. Valid Florida Driver s License with an acceptable driving record. CPR trained or willing to obtain training through City provided program upon being hired. Knowledge of effective customer service practices. Knowledge of tennis rules and regulations. Knowledge or general familiarity with tennis management Knowledge of facility operations, court booking and court maintenance procedures. Knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation, in order to prepare documents and compose letters, s, etc. Knowledge of tennis marketing practices through print, web and social media. Ability to meet and deal effectively with the public and to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with outside tennis pros, fellow employees, and members of the public. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. Ability to respond to difficult and stressful situations in an efficient, effective and positive manner. Ability to perform assigned tasks with tact, discretion and courtesy, and to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the resolution of problems. Ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion. Ability to organize, communicate and present ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Essential Job Functions: Quickly and efficiently responds to member questions, comments and concerns. Ensures tennis pros and staff are promoting and selling tennis programs, lessons and encouraging repeat business Coordinate the scheduling of staff and courts, membership billing and program registration. Coordinate the training and development of staff through quality orientations, meetings, direction and feedback. Assist in recruiting and interviewing tennis staff and contracted pros. Coordinates tennis and program marketing campaigns including print brochures, web and social media campaigns. Helps promote the usage of the Tennis Center by greeting clients and answering questions related to the facility, tennis membership, lessons and leagues. Assist in Department monthly and annual reporting as it relates to tennis. Effectively uses assigned automation software for scheduling, deposits and reporting. Follows safe working practices and has a working knowledge of safety practices and procedures in accordance with the City s Safety Plan. Performs other related duties as required and other such work as may be assigned.
