1 Job title Social nterprise Supervisor / Trainer Salary 25,000 Responsible to Social nterprise Manager Role Summary Overstream Clean is a first class social enterprise providing an efficient, quality cleaning service for businesses in Cambridge and providing skills training to people with experience of or at risk of homelessness. It is an exemplary model of getting people furthest away from employment back into work by developing their self-esteem and confidence and equipping them with work-based skills. Wintercomfort is a small Cambridge charity supporting the homeless and people at risk of losing their homes. We offer basic welfare amenities, educational development, pathways to employment and other services to help people achieve greater autonomy, in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Purpose of the job The successful applicant will need to have experience of supervising people with a positive, can-do attitude, and the ability to relate to hard to reach people. They may have some experience teaching or delivering training whether formally or informally. Knowledge of cleaning is not a pre-requisite although would be helpful and a willingness to learn is very important. The applicant should be willing to turn a hand to whatever is required, keep cool in a crisis, pay attention to detail and most importantly be able to support our service users to get involved. This is a great opportunity for an experienced supervisor or someone wanting to give something back to the community. Key Responsibilities 1. Be responsible for the day to day running of the Overstream Clean social enterprise. This will include scheduling work, drafting quotes and dealing with sales enquiries, and also carrying out cleaning duties when alternative cover cannot be found. 2. Supervision of operatives and volunteers in the social enterprise including the setting of targets. 3. eputise for the Social nterprise Manager in their absence. 4. elivering appropriate training on health and safety, work-related skills, and cleaning and gardening services to service users; following a scheme of work and lesson plans and completing the necessary paperwork. 5. Maintaining appropriate levels of stock and placing orders for new supplies. nsuring chemicals are stored, labelled and used correctly according to COSHH guidelines.

2 6. Maintaining the highest standards of service to our customers and responding to customer complaints where necessary. 7. To work within the organisation s agreed policies and procedures at all times. Adopting and implementing appropriate policies and procedures as required. 8. Carry out regular on-site reviews of service delivery standards, at times outside of core working hours. 9. To support service users in a positive way to develop work ready skills and provide support into employment. 10. To work as part of the Wintercomfort staff team and to represent the organisation in multiagency meetings and other external events as required. 11. To deal with any administrative tasks, such as telephone/answer phone messages, record keeping, filing, etc in an organised and tidy manner. 12. General Information Wintercomfort works with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or with a history of homelessness. We provide services to aid every stage of recovery - from immediate basic welfare needs to long term help in identifying and dealing with the problems which are undermining their stability, and

National statistics rank the numbers of rough sleepers in Cambridge within the highest 20 UK local authorities and the gap between rich and poor is widening with up to 30% of the population living in poverty in the most deprived areas. Budget cuts to services and a shortage of affordable rented housing has seen increasing numbers of people turning to our services; in 2015/16 we helped 700 people.
