1 A Bar A Ranch Staff Application 2010 General Information and Application Instructions: Staff members receive housing, meals, and use of ranch facilities, along with a monthly salary and a share of the general tips fund. Meals are cafeteria-style and housing is shared with other staff in dormitories/bunk houses. Most employees work 8 hours per day. Cooks and wranglers are an exception; they usually work hours per day (accordingly, salary for cooks and wranglers is higher). All staff members work six days per week. Our work ethic is to work hard as a team until the job is finished and done well, which means that the length of your shift may vary from day to day. All staff members work with an immediate supervisor, but your ultimate responsibility is to the Ranch Managers, Justin and Lissa Howe. Supervisors plan their crews daily schedules, including time off (one day per week). The A Bar A Ranch is a Drug-Free Workplace, no tolerance. We are an At-Will Employer (employees contracts can be terminated at any time at the discretion of the managers). Salaries for most first-year staff begin at $500 per month plus room and board.
