1 Business and Finance Manager Point ( 29,055-32,233). Salary to be negotiated depending on experience and qualifications. Full time (37 hours a week). Linton Village College supports flexible working. Part-time working or a job share would be considered for the right candidate. Principal place of work is Linton Village College but expected to work across other Trust schools. The Business and Finance Manager will play a key role in managing finances and commercial functions at Linton Village College and supporting with Trust-wide financial performance. They will be responsible for the efficient and effective use of College funds through the management of budgets, financial controls and reporting. The Business and Finance Manager will have oversight of the operational management of the College. In addition to the Finance Officers, they will line-manage the Sports Centre, Adult ducation, lettings and Linton Out of School Club to ensure that all aspects of community business are financially viable and offering a good standard of service. They will support CHT s Chief Financial and Operations Officer with project management at the College and across the Trust. Responsibilities and duties involved in the Business and Finance Manager role are set out below. Financial management Manage College budgets and financial controls to ensure compliance. Liaise regularly with budget holders to offer support and challenge. Analyse and present budget reports to senior leaders and governors and offer financial recommendations. Review the financial viability of College trips, visits and events to ensure value for money. Oversee the management of payroll and staff expenses with HR colleagues and management company. Line-manage finance clerks and support CHT Chief Finance and Operations Officer with financial reporting. Contribute to risk management in partnership with LVC and Trust colleagues and support audit processes. Support with fund-raising and bid writing. Community business Oversee the commercial aspects of College operations including the Sports Centre, Adult ducation, lettings and Out of School Club. Line manage community business managers, offering challenge and support to strengthen their leadership. Lead business planning to ensure financial sustainability and success of community businesses. Drive marketing strategy to promote community business and support with PR issues. Project management Support Chief Finance and Operations Officer with Trust-wide project management and procurement. Support Chief Finance and Operations Officer to submit CIF bids and manage contractors. Work with Operations and Site colleagues to manage maintenance schedules and capital projects within time and budget. Liaise with relevant CHT/LVC personnel to implement compliance and health and safety recommendations.
