5 Making Nominations vs Expressing Gratitude What is the difference? Did you know? There are two ways that we can recognize our colleagues? Making a nomination Expressing gratitude Nominations are intended for recognizing your colleagues for going above and beyond what is expected of them. Gratitudes are a simple way to show your appreciation for small acts of kindness. Longer motivation A driver needs to be selected to categorize the nomination: People Brand Short motivation a simple Thank You No driver or rating criteria Gratitude points accumulated impact your gem status Clients Society & Profession Receive a gratitude 3 points A rating needs to be selected to allocate points to nomination: Make a gratitude 1 point Part of the job but exceptionally well done 5 points Above and beyond 10 points Shooting the lights out 15 points 10 Sapphire 50 points Emerald 100 points Diamond 150 points

11 Overview of Top Achiever selection Criteria Being chosen as a top achiever is a privilege that is dependent on qualifying criteria, and not a guarantee. Having the highest number of points does not guarantee a tier 1 winner placement Having the most nominations does not guarantee that you will win The following is also taken into account: Has the employee s impact been extraordinary or is it part of their job? Is another employee with slightly less points, but with a high quality of nominations not more deserving? Has the employee made nominations in the last 6 months? If no = instant disqualification If yes = quality of nominations are considered - copy & pasters and one liners are not acceptable Employees who have attended the banquet in the last 18 months ideally cannot attend the banquet, to ensure fair representation and that everyone has a fair chance at attending the banquet
