1 Positions in the Denver School District DIRECTOR, MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS Directs Facility Maintenance Operations (e.g., building and grounds, maintenance, repair) and personnel. Directs and coordinates Managers of shop personnel who perform the trade related and maintenance work and repair for District facilities. Establishes procedures and long range vision around maintenance services. Prepares and manages annual budgets. Provides overview to ensure well maintained, safe, and healthy facilities across the District. Salary: Salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience (range is: $80,471 - $102, 601) Terminal Manager Salary Range: $69,997-89,219 Manages the day-to-day pupil transportation operations within the bus terminal locations. Directs and manages activities related to daily dispatching, bus pass program, service and facilitation of all service elements that impact employees, students, schools and parents. Ensures compliance of all DPS, State & Federal policy and regulations. Review and participate in employee related issues (e.g., discipline, grievance resolution) as the Level I Grievance Hearing Officer. Conduct or ensure accident reviews are completed and follow-up action has been taken. Promote a productive workplace environment through shared goals, mutual respect, employee recognition, and equal opportunity. Collaborate with other District departments to achieve a safe and healthful working environment for all employees. Lead student management investigations when escalated to manager level. Monitors daily terminal activities to ensure safe and timely service to students and schools. Review reports (e.g., attendance, dispatch reporting, fleet reports) and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement (e.g., improving customer service and transportation services) and work alongside terminal director to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. Establish, develop, and maintain positive working relationships with District leadership (e.g., principals, parents, community) to improve school bus transportation and safety. Develop and implement departmental strategy, department policies, goals, objectives and procedures with Terminal Director and District personnel. Oversight of terminal committees and serves as lead for initiating goals to acclimate new employees to the terminal operations. Maintains current knowledge of District policies and procedures and Colorado Department of Education Regulations. Collaborates with department personnel to develop and implement department policies, goals, objectives and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Route Planning Manager Salary Range: $69,977- $89,219

2 The primary objective is to lead the coordination and planning of school transportation bus routes for the district. You will provide actionable insights to planning, scheduling and monitoring of service in accordance with district policies and Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Responsibilities also include the oversight and data accuracy of the school bus routing and district planning software, scheduling timelines, service level, performance and integrity of data to exceed customer expectations. Monitor and quality control of bus route changes in accordance to all applicable policies and guidelines. Develops and periodically reviews and updates district guidelines in accordance with board of education or district service updates.oversight and management of route planner scheduling, service interactions, accuracy of routes and customer service along with route planner professional standards. Interact with district departments to coordinate timelines, communications to support route planning each year. Maintain knowledge of federal, state and local laws applicable to school transportation. Build and management of department KPI's and identify action plans to improve, modify and discontinue practices. Recommends strategies and solutions for improvements. Direct the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, and files related to assigned services, activities, safety, training and projects. All other duties as assigned Route Scheduler -Transportation Salary Range: $ $26.72 hourly The Route Scheduler (Planner) prepares, modifies, and maintains school bus routes to provide for cost efficient, effective transportation for Denver Public Schools students. May drive school bus routes when necessary. Other duties as assigned. L3 Steam/Hydronic Systems Tech Starting Salary Range: $ $30.78 per hour The Steam Hydronics Technician performs skilled licensed pipefitting installation and repair work for District and supervises and trains Level 2 Technicians. Designs, modifies, fabricates, repairs, and installs HVAC system piping. Welds or screws different types of pipe (e.g., fit screwed pipe) in system. Soft solder or silver solders copper materials/pipes. Bids on work requested by schools, and prepares cost estimates. Trains and mentors other shop staff. Inspects work of independent contractors, identifies deficiencies, and communicates with project manager about correcting deficiencies according to code (e.g., city, state) and DPS specifications.

3 L2 Millwright Salary Range: $ $24.79 L2 CARPENTER MILLWRIGHT Position Description: The Millwright installs, repairs and maintains District machinery and equipment using skilled millwright trade related practices. Fabrication, repair and installation of all types of equipment including, but not limited to: personnel safety (i.e., catwalks, work platforms, ladders, hand rails, etc.), conveyor and lift systems, bleacher systems, pool diving boards and starting blocks, stage rigging, overhead doors and gates, loading dock plates and lifts, school seating systems, metal doors and windows, as well as outdoor flagpoles. Works under the direction of Level 3 technicians. Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications: Must possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver's license. A minimum of two to ten years' experience and training is required depending on level of position; minimum as follows:. Level 1: Two (2) year's related experience. Level 2: Four (4) years' experience. Level 3: Ten (10) years' journeyman experience, including one (1) year of internal experience Facility Manager II GODSMAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Monday - Friday 5:30am - 2:00pm Salary: $21.10 per hour The Facility Manager II manages the maintenance and custodial staff at an assigned facility (e.g., custodial, grounds, pool) to keep the facility building systems (e.g., structural, electrical, HVAC) operational, with consideration to staff and student security and safety. Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications: - Automated building systems experience may be required depending on assignment. - Pool operation, maintenance and repair experience may be required depending on assignment. - Must successfully complete DPS required training/courses within first year of employment. SUPERVISOR, MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS

4 Salary Range: $56, $67,461 The Supervisor of Maintenance Operations assists with coordination and supervision of shop personnel who perform the HVAC trade related and maintenance work and repair for District facilities.. Review work orders; monitor how work orders are assigned and ensure that HVAC system maintenance, repair or installation work is planned, prioritized, and scheduled in an effective manner.. Inspect, evaluate and monitor shop resource utilization for quality, operability and maintainability of any new construction applications.. Supervise and inspect work performed by contracted service vendors and contractors, according to DPS quality control standards and related codes.. Assist with coordination and supervision of the maintenance of HVAC trade related systems of District's facilities.. Assist with development and maintenance of timely and productive control records and reports from the Tririga Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for authorized jobs and associated costs.. Schedule monthly, weekly and daily work using Tririga. Monitor material and equipment jobs orders and delivery arrangements to ensure cost effective materials and methods are used; implement corrective action when necessary.. Assist with quality assurance program implementation and monitor completion of work performed and in compliance with applicable codes, regulations and standards.. Define specifications for contract work. Comply with District equipment and material standards.. Communicate and coordinate with other District departments (e.g., Preventive Maintenance, Facility Planning, Engineering, outside contractors, factory representatives) and other shops for joint work projects.. Assist with preparation, completion and submission of all time and attendance records.. Monitor working conditions and work-related injuries to create a safe working environment for all employees.. Assist with the development of employee training programs.. Assist with the development and implementation of a preventative maintenance (PM) program.. Assist with the development of staffing utilization reports and requirements.. Provide input into the development of annual budgets (e.g., manpower, maintenance supplies, contractors, equipment acquisition).

5 . Review, evaluate and approve parts and service invoices and requisitions; follow established budgetary procedures.. Provide administrative support for personnel issues by providing accurate historical data and clean, concise documentation.. Conduct building safety and preventative maintenance inspections, and report potential safety hazards in areas that might affect health and safety of DPS staff and others.=. Acquire applicable permits from the jurisdiction having authority.. Respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on weekends or holidays, according to schedule.. Coordinate District response to emergency situations involving Facility Maintenance.. Prepare and conduct employee performance evaluation process.. Provide on-the-job trade related instruction or training to shop or field personnel.. Review construction blueprints, work order and plans to ensure that work has been completed according to District standards and related codes.. Perform trade work of assigned shop as schedule and volume of work orders require.. Perform other duties as assigned.
