1 Greetings! Thank you for your interest in the Omega Wellness Center. We are currently hiring practitioners for the 2009 season (April 25 th -Oct 25 th ). We look forward to receiving your application and are glad you are interested in being a part of our ever expanding team of talented practitioners. The Wellness Center at Omega offers something very special - wonderfully spirited individuals providing great service and exceptional care to our guests and staff. We hand select each hire and consequently have a very gifted team - the best the industry has to offer! The Omega Wellness Center is, in and of itself, a destination, and it is our wish that each and every client who walks through our doors leaves feeling rejuvenated, nurtured and completely cared for; finding a restored sense of balance and inner serenity. We aim to meet all of our guest s expectations, if not exceeded them. We also aim to provide a safe, fun and professional work environment - one where you, the practitioner, feel supported, valued and welcomed as part of a team. By offering a variety of treatments and consultations in a space of beauty and tranquility - coupled with the best we have to offer in customer care - we meet our guest s needs and Omega s vision and goals. In the following pages you will find the Omega Wellness Center Application for Please fill it out in its entirety, being careful to follow any additional instruction. Resumes are welcome, but not required. Please do not submit your application via . NO ELECTRONIC APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Our hiring process We will be looking at qualified candidates who are able to commit to more than one month (the entire six month Omega season is preferred, although we do accept some applicants who are available for only one - three months). We will also be looking at individuals who are able to commit to more than two days a week (three or more is preferred while five is optimal). The deadline for the first wave of applications is January 31 st. We encourage you to have your application in to us by this time, if not sooner, so that you may be fully considered for the 2009 season. Subsequent application deadlines are February 22 nd and March 28 th. Applications received after March 28th will be reviewed on a case by case basis, as time allows. If this is your first time applying to the Omega Wellness Center, we welcome you and are excited to learn more about you! If you, or the services you offer, falls out of this realm, please indicate this below: Maximum number of sessions per day: Maximum number of sessions in a row: Maximum number of sessions for a type of service: Service: max/day: MORE INFO: SETTING A SCHEUDLE Schedules are created and implemented pre-season (as early as January) so that we may begin taking reservations for the months ahead. Consequently we need to know in advance your availability for the duration of the season. We count on you to provide us with accurate data so that we may book you and our guests accordingly. Please only indicate the days and times that you are fully available. In the following pages you will find a calendar view of the season. Indicate your availability by doing the following: USE PENCIL ONLY 1. Place a circle in the square for the day that you are available. Do this for each day of the season that you wish to be on the schedule. Sample: 2. Indicate within the circled square the shift you are available for being sure to note start time and end time. 11:45-8:15 Preferred standard shifts run 11:45 am-8:15 pm (or 9:15 pm), however other options exist. We are currently considering split shifts which run 9 am 3 pm (or 4 pm) and 3 pm 9 pm (or 8 pm). NOTE: If you plan to live on campus indicate the 5 days you would prefer to work each week. 3. If you intend to take a catalogue workshop and work at the Wellness Center at the same time, place a triangle in these days. Sample:

6 PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING Schedule Changes and Requests Your set schedule will most likely be a reflection of what you indicate on the calendar. The exception is if we can not accommodate you on the days or times you have selected. In this case we will work with you to find an alternate day or time. Once your schedule has been input into our system, changes are standardly not permitted; however we do allow for substitutions and will assist you in finding a replacement when needed. Schedule changes are considered providing they are submitted at least 6 weeks in advance. NOTE: We rely on your availability indicated on your application so that we may book our clients accordingly. If need be, be conservative as you indicate your days of availability. It is always easier to add someone to the schedule then to take them off. Booking of Appointments, Appointment Times and Meal Breaks We have 3 prime locations for the Omega guest to book a service with us. Bookings are handled by our booking agents (mainly seasonal staff). The more these booking agents know about you and the service you offer, the better chance they have of selling you and your service. The booking agents determine the times that appointments take place. These times are based upon guest availability and demand for the service. We do not accommodate requests from practitioners for predetermined appointment times. We book at any given time during the course of the day so that we may meet our guests need. Our software program will automatically provide you with one meal break that will last anywhere from minutes during Omega meal hours. The booking agents have no control as to when these breaks take place. Contract and Policy & Procedure If verbally contracted, you will receive a letter of agreement in the mail along with our policy and procedure handbook. The agreement will address such things as the services you are offering, your dates of availability, your pay rate, and any supplies and equipment that Omega will be providing. The P&P Handbook will address many aspects of working in the Omega Wellness Center. Along with general information about when to arrive for your shift, how to prepare your room, and how to meet and greet our guests, it will also address some very specific policy about being on the Omega Campus and in the Wellness Center. In our hiring process we look for professional individuals who are passionate about what they do, and mindful about how they present themselves and their services to the public. Our practitioners are the face of Omega to many and we look for individuals that will not only do an exceptional job, but will represent us in the best light. Practitioner Bio Once contracted you will be asked to submit a short professional bio. This bio will be used on our website and placed in our service binders that are throughout the campus. The bio must be formatted in a word document with set margins, text size, font and length. If you a returning practitioner, we will still need this document from you, in the format TBD. Personal Statement If you are new to Omega and the Wellness Center we ask that you please take a moment to tell us why you are interested in spending time with us this season. We love hearing about what inspires individuals to become a part of our community. All Staff Meeting Anyone contracted will be required to attend the All Staff Meeting on Sunday April 19 th. This meeting will run approximately 3 hours (11 am 3 pm with an hour lunch break at noon). If you will be out of state and can not attend then other arrangements must be made. This is a mandatory meeting and a great deal of valuable information will be conveyed. Practitioners will not be able to start work at the Wellness Center until they have met with management and all pertinent information has been shared.
