1 NORTHAMPTON LISUR TRUST JOB SCRIPTION Job title: Location: Scale Point: Salary: Allowances: Responsible to: Level 1 Gymnastics and Trampolining Coach Leisure Centres n/a 7.70 p/h None uty Supervisor, Sport, Play and Health evelopment Team and Lead Coach JOB PURPOS Under the direction of the Lead Gymnastics/Trampolining Coach, deliver high quality Gymnastics and Trampolining coaching sessions. MAIN UTIS AN RSPONSIBILITIS Complete attendance registers eliver high-quality, progressive coaching sessions appropriate to age and ability of group under the direction of the lead coach To ensure the safety of all participants and your own within sessions, reporting all accident and incidents in accordance with NLT s procedures. To represent Northampton Leisure Trust in a responsible, professional and courteous manner at all times. To ensure that responsible care is taken at all times for health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons and to comply with NLT s policies and procedures at all times, including Safeguarding, quality and Health & Safety. To attend coaching meetings as required. To undertake any other duties within the overall purpose and scope of the job as may be required by the uty Supervisor and Lead Coach.

2 POPL AN RSOURCS The job holder is responsible for the following people and resources: Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all participants taking part in a session. Responsible for NLT equipment Job holder s position in relation to their Manager, peers and direct reports: The post holder is directly line managed by the Lead coach. This job entails the following demands: JOB MANS motional emands Need to be sensitive to needs of diverse community groups Physical emands Required to deliver activities and demonstrate activities. Job may involve regular lifting, carrying and providing physical support to participants and post holder is required to be physically fit and healthy. Working Conditions May be required to work across multiple sites and provide cover at short notice (evenings and weekends) to ensure continuity of service to the general public Page 2 of 5

4 PRSON SPCIFICATION KNOWLG Hold a level 1 or above British Gymnastics or Trampolining coaching qualification An understanding of safeguarding practice and policy To have experience of working with children or young people To have experience of planning sport activity sessions An understanding of quality and diversity An understanding of Health and Safety including risk assessments SKILLS Strong communication (verbal and written) and inter personal skills Be enthusiastic, motivated & trustworthy Able to work your own initiative and within a team Ability to undertake risk assessments and dynamic risk assessments eliver appropriate sessions to children and young people ATTRIBUTS Willingness to undertake a BS check. Full Clean driving licence and access to own vehicle Willingness to undertake CP courses xcellent Time management skills To act in a professional manner and to have a professional appearance at all times. ssential/esirable?
