9 Industry requirements 2 OCIMF Tanker Management Self Assessment The company provides initial and refresher training for all ranks. Management monitors and records training results and its effectiveness. The company organises senior officer seminars to promote, emphasise and enhance the company s safety management system. All officers attend company-run seminars at least once every two years. Relevant crew members have been trained in hazard identification and risk assessment. Where practical, there should be at least two staff members of the vessel s staff and an appropriate number of shore staff that have been trained in incident investigation.
