3 BILLING TEAM LEAD ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT We are an international AMLaw 20 law firm headquartered in midtown Manhattan seeking a Billing Team Lead. This position has the responsibility of training, managing, mentoring, and developing a strong team of billing coordinators and assistants. The Billing Team Lead will assume responsibility for primary billing relationships with billing attorneys and clients. Candidates must possess a solid billing background with the ability to handle complex billings and analyses, and provide high-level support to attorneys, clients, and firm management. This is an exempt position that reports to the Billing & Collections Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinate and evaluate the daily workflow of direct reports; and liaise with billing staff in two international offices. Execute client billing guidelines in Elite; interpret and maintain guideline details within the Billing Arrangements database. Mentor billing team in best billing practices including the application of rates; conduct weekly meetings with team members to review and monitor billing portfolios. This position is one of a team of two DBAs responsible for the research, design and maintenance of database technology projects. The position consists of 70% support and 30% design and implementation. 7 MANAGER OF TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS INFORMATION SERVICES DEPARTMENT We are an international law firm headquartered in New York seeking a Manager of Technology Operations to oversee the firm s engineering and operations teams in delivery of a high availability technology infrastructure, supporting the firm s global law practice. Reporting to the firm s Director of Technology, the Manager of Technology Operations is responsible for maintaining and continually evolving the firm s production systems to deliver high performance and high availability 24x7. He/she is tasked with managing the firm s Network Operations Center and leading the operations engineering teams to develop and deliver on strategies for data center, network, server, storage and messaging platforms/infrastructures that align to the firm s business objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: Maintaining the firm s production systems to deliver high performance and high availability 24x7. Managing a 24x7 Network Operations Center, in addition to the firm s engineering functions which amounts to responsibility for three supervisors and 20 engineers. 8 PROJECT MANAGER INFORMATION SERVICES DEPARTMENT We are an international Amlaw 20 law firm headquartered in New York seeking a Project Manager to become an integral part of the firm s Information Services department. The Project Manager position is responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects using proven project management tools and techniques. Projects involve any variety of technologies and are often complex, inter-departmental, enterprise-wide and/or high profile. Projects generally address COTS application implementations, process improvements, vendor selection, custom development and system upgrades. The Project Manager works directly with team members from other Information Services (IS) functional groups/business areas, project sponsors and stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Manager will perform project-oriented administrative functions and advanced analysis for senior management where necessary. This position reports to the firm s Project Management Office (PMO) Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: Overseeing requirements definition and solution design. Developing project work plan and tracking progress against the plan. 9 DEVELOPER INFORMATION SERVICES DEPARTMENT We are an international law firm headquartered in New York seeking a Developer to become an integral part of an Information Services department within an Amlaw 20 firm. The ideal candidate demonstrates good coding practices and he/she must be willing and available to work off hours and on weekends, as needed. Reporting to the firm s Development Supervisor, the person in this role would assume the responsibilities that follow in the section(s) below. RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: GENERAL: Implementing good coding practices with a strong commitment to existing company coding standards; providing ideas for improvement of said standards, if/as needed. Participating in code review meetings and other opportunities for knowledge sharing. Providing regular status updates to supervisor and project team, in addition to as-needed notification of circumstances that may adversely affect the project schedule. Providing estimates for work effort. Scripting, documenting and providing a rollback plan for every change - does not implement loose changes. Team Foundation Server (or some other version control software) must be employed in code development. SUPPORT: Assisting with changes to existing applications and data feeds. Interacting with users and other teams to efficiently troubleshoot issues. Diligently documenting resolved issues and development process. APPLICATION IMPLEMENTATION: Designing/developing.NET applications and modules. 10 BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR MARKETING DEPARTMENT We are an international law firm headquartered in New York seeking a Business Development Coordinator to become an integral part of a business development team within an Amlaw 20 firm. The Business Development Coordinator will support the business development team with design and implementation for the firm s marketing strategy, including profile raising, targeting potential clients, completing proposals for new work, practice planning and monitoring client relationships. Will work closely with Business Development Strategists, Practice Chairs, Partners, Counsel and Marketing Department professionals. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Create pitch books and other marketing materials for potential and existing clients. Maintain various client outreach and client activity logs and databases. Update and maintain firm s marketing materials, including brochures, practice descriptions, lawyer biographies and experience lists. Perform various tasks to assist client team development, including client team meeting preparation and analysis of financial and market data. Conduct industry and geography-specific research projects to create market and competitive analyses as well as identify business development opportunities and develop client target lists. Compile submissions to legal rankings directories and league table providers such as Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Thomson, Bloomberg, SNL, and mergermarket as part of the firm s profile raising activities. Draft and edit various RFP/RFI responses for existing and potential clients, including qualitative and quantitative data compilation. Schedule meetings and reserve conference rooms on behalf of supervisors. Requirements: Bachelor s Degree required (minimum 3.2 GPA strongly preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Strong attention to detail is critical and must be demonstrated. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant experience preferred; post grad experience and college/internship experience will be considered. Majors in English, History, Political Science or Finance preferred.
