1 Dynamic Workplace Rewarding Role 9 month Maternity Leave Contract Brisbane Based This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Website Coordinator to work for Diabetes Queensland to improve the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders. We are seeking a skilled and passionate online marketer to join our Communications & Policy department. As a member of a dedicated team, this role will suit an organised, self-starter to take a leading role in maintaining the integrity of Diabetes Queensland s website as the face of our organisation and the main online presence to our many audiences. To enjoy real success in this role, you will have a Bachelor degree in digital marketing/communications or equivalent, project management abilities and experience in coordinating internal clients, stakeholders and suppliers. This role requires excellent understanding of digital marketing & communications concepts, writing & designing content for online, user experience, with skills in content management, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting. Skills in web content management systems, using creative tools, project management tools, search engine algorithms and ranking strategies would be highly regarded. Working within the Communications team you will be involved in shaping and delivering Diabetes Queensland s communications activities and campaigns. Your know-how in online communication and project coordination will be applied to maintain existing websites and content, as well as managing the delivery of a new, multifaceted site. Funding for the organisation is through membership subscriptions and donations, grant funding as Queensland Agent for National Diabetes Services Scheme, Queensland Government and other stakeholders and through sponsors and fundraising. Purpose of Position This role is to maintain the integrity of Diabetes Queensland s website as the face of our organisation and the main online presence to our many audiences. The role will coordinate the planning, maintenance, and accessibility of Diabetes Queensland s websites to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of web-based projects, accurate and engaging content, consistency of the sites look and feel and effective representation in online channels, such as social media and search engines. This individual is also responsible for some creation and maintenance of original web-based content. Responsibilities Promote and manage the importance and integrity of the website, best practice protocols, user experience and website guidelines within the organisation. Maintain our brand as publisher approach to our content marketing and online presence. Manage the implementation of long-term planning for website development and presence in line with the organisation s communications, marketing and business goals. This includes maintaining and championing standards and guidelines for accessibility, content and consistency across online channels.

3 Co-ordinate with business units and content creators from across the organisation in the development of interactive resources to complement web content. Provide consultation and skills to ensure communications campaigns and all-of-business brand messages are consistent across online channel to achieve best results. Create and maintain a consistent website navigation and architectural structure. Liaise with third-party contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of webbased projects. Assess and itemize costs for website enhancements and modifications. Liaise with IT manager on hardware, software and hosting issues that affect the Website and its availability. Monitor, analyse, and report on Website traffic. Seek, identify, implement, and manage Website presence and promotion opportunities, such as search engine optimisation and Google Adwords. Work closely with the Communications team members to maintain a collaborative approach to enewsletters, social media content and other marketing materials. Recommend and implement enhancements and modifications to the website. Participate in the development and integration of graphical and multimedia components into the website. Develop, implement, and enforce website-appropriate use and policies, including management of collateral and compliance with internal rules, copyright, privacy and terms policies. Track and evaluate new standards, technologies and trends in website development, design, and delivery. Assess competitor websites with regards content, look and feel, and functionality, and make improvement recommendations to our organisation s site. Monitor and track client feedback and website user traffic to improve customer service. Find, diagnose, and fix website problems, including broken links (both internal and external), typographical errors, and formatting inconsistencies. A Bachelor degree majoring in digital marketing/communications and management or other equivalent experience demonstrating best practice in design, development, implementation and usability of digital solutions. 2. Demonstrated ability to project manage all aspects of web-based development and implementation, especially the preparation of scoping documents/design brief/ mock-ups for external web contractor or vendors. 3. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of website content management, including SEO and accessibility best practice, knowledge of web technologies, protocols, and tools including contemporary content management systems. 4. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Working knowledge of Web authoring, development, and publishing tools, including Adobe Creative Suite. 5. Experience in website testing, monitoring and troubleshooting deliverables. 6. Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment including a strong understanding of communications, marketing, and customer service principles and experience in gathering, analysing, and meeting business requirements to this end. 7. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Desirable 1. Knowledge of web content management systems. Drupal and Umbraco CMS knowledge and experience highly regarded. 2. Skills using creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Wideo or other media editing tools. 3. Experience in project management tools such as SharePoint Services, Basecamp, Jira test management. 4. Knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking strategies. Ability to use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, YouTube channel management and other Google services.

5 5. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Additional Factors Additional Information The incumbent to the position will be required to: Occasionally work non-standard hours Occasionally travel intra and interstate. It is expected that the incumbent of the position will give full commitment, support and actively participate in achieving the strategic directions of Diabetes Queensland as the organisation and staff adapt to a new and dynamic operating environment.
