1 Head of Safeguarding Central Team Recruitment Pack

2 Welcome Letter Dear Applicant, As CEO of the newly established Galileo Academy Trust, I am both delighted and humbled to be leading this collaboration of ten schools. This is an opportunity to make an even greater difference to the lives and educational opportunities of our children. 18 months ago, the Headteachers of the respective schools worked alongside myself as a National Leader of Education to build capacity to become a Multi Academy Trust. We wanted to create something very special and had the added benefit of existing relationships in the Landmark Teaching School Alliance, of which I was Director. On April 1 st, we celebrated becoming part of a unique family. Galileo is a family who respect each other. Galileo is a family who supports the independence and distinguishing characteristics of each school. Galileo is a family who recognises the value of collaboration and the advantage of a public association. Galileo is a family who draw on each other s strengths in order to overcome any weaknesses and respond robustly to any challenges. The Trustees will ensure that Galileo provides a strong, responsible foundation from which every school develops and grows. It provides a subtle yet crucial role, aiming always to be a trustworthy, reliable and inspirational organisation, delivering the best possible learning experiences for the children that we serve. Our overarching aim as a Trust is to ensure that all children have exceptional learning opportunities and, in order to achieve this, we have a culture of working together to ensure that accountability belongs to all, for all. We will provide opportunities for all to develop their skills within a culture of coaching and with a passion for learning. Our leadership is focused explicitly on the Primary Phase and we have a strong moral purpose to ensure that school improvement is focused upon all. To conclude, I am hugely proud to be in this position and working alongside the Headteachers, Governors, Trustees, Staff, Parents and Children within the Galileo family in order to provide the best quality education. Kindest Regards Anna Coulson CEO
