Water Transport Trucks Water is an essential element of any mobile military operation. Knapheide has enabled militaries to rely on a mobile water source with their Water Transport Trucks. Knapheide Water Transport Trucks employ all stainless steel tanks and plumbing for unmatched durability. Water Transport Trucks come in a variety of tank size configurations, from single axle chassis to tandem axle chassis depending upon your quantity demands. Fill and discharge options enable Knapheide to design a Water Transport Truck that will excel in your military application.

Access Ladders Some vehicles ride higher than others, so ensuring all personnel can get in and out of the vehicle is important. Knowing that, Knapheide can design an Access Ladder to provide ingress and egress for the body and be either fixed to the body and stowed or loose and removable for many different applications. If access to the engine compartment on larger vehicles is desired, Knapheide has an Engine Access Ladder that can be installed on the front tires of the vehicle to provide an easy step up to perform maintenance on air filters, fluids, etc.

Antenna Racks For a lightweight antenna mount option, Knapheide can provide an aluminum tubular rack structure to mount to a variety of platforms. Steel versions are also available if weight is not a concern. These structures are typically not intended for roll-over protection (ROP) and are for accessory mounting only.

Bulkheads Many different combinations of bulkheads can be coupled with a Knapheide flat bed to provide the right protection and features. From bolt down, removable single panel bulkheads, to weld-on two panel assemblies with steps, Knapheide can provide the best solution for the application.

Bumpers Knapheide can design and develop a bumper for virtually any application, from troop carriers to water trucks. Tail lights, Blackout lights, and other marking and identification equipment can come pre-installed so all the user has to do is plug the connections in and mount the bumper. Integrated step solutions such as Cable Steps can be added to finish the assembly and provide means to gain access to the rear of the vehicle.

Cable Steps Offering easy and quick access to the cargo/troop carrier area of your vehicle is essential during military operations. Constructed of rugged steel, Knapheide Cable Steps ensure safe access to your vehicle and mounts directly to the bottom side of the bumper.

Custom Component Box Each military application requires different equipment and supplies in order to get the job done. With Custom Component Boxes designed and manufactured by Knapheide you are able to store your equipment both safely and securely. Knapheide Custom Component Boxes feature all stainless steel continuous hinges for maximum durability.

Custom Meter Cabinet Water Trucks require various external valves, meters, and pumps that are exposed to the elements and unsecured. Knapheide's Custom Meter Cabinets can securely enclose the components on your Water Truck. Knapheide has vast experience in designing and manufacturing reliable Custom Meter Cabinets.

Gunner Stands Many tactical vehicles require vehicle mounted weaponry. Knapheide has developed a simple, configurable Gunner Stand that can be sized to fit many different cabs and vehicle profiles. This Gunner Stand is design to accommodate several different heights of vehicle operators, from the 5th percentile female, to the 95th percentile male. Using a slide and hook moving upper platform, the overall height with respect to the gunner ring can be adjust in the field and a back-up pin system prevents unwanted movement after adjustment.

Jerry Can Storage For carrying that additional fuel needed to complete the battlefield mission, Knapheide has developed a modular Jerry Can Storage solution which can accommodate one, two, or more Jerry Cans of fuel or other liquids. The storage system can either attach directly to the vehicle chassis, or be customize to mount on any feasible surface of the vehicle.

Lift Gates While installing the body or cargo box onto the chassis, Knapheide can also provide and install a full feature lift gate to provide increased cargo ingress and egress for heavier, larger loads. Knapheide can source and provide popular brands such as Waltco, Tommy Gate, etc.

Non-Skid Surfaces Be it steps up the side of the body, or the entire cargo floor, Knapheide can provide many different anti-slip / non-skid surface treatments to keep personnel safe in entering and exiting the vehicle. Popular choices include: Knap-Liner (spray on, "bed-liner" style protective coating), Paint on Grit Media, Tape on grip strips, punched anti-slip panels.

Rifle Rack The Warfighter of the modern battlefield needs to have quick, convenient access to weapons to be effective in fast moving situations. Having an inside-cab mounted Rifle Rack meets that requirement. Knapheide has developed an adjustable rifle storage rack that can accommodate multiple riffle rack heights.

Security Screening If cargo / equipment security and restricted access is a must, Knapheide can provide an add-on Security Enclosure to a body to keep tools and precious items in check. Using an Expanded Metal frame work with formed high-strength frames, Knapheide has created a very robust shell to keep unwanted hands off out of the cargo bed area. This can all be coupled with either a solid or expanded metal double rear door with lockable door handle. The entire assembly can be installed or removed with simple hand tools and fasteners in a short amount of time. No welding required.

Side Gates Having drop down sides on a cargo carrier can provide increased loading and unloading capabilities for both cargo and personnel. Knapheide has designed Drop Down Sides to accommodate different bed heights and lengths, and can also provide installation for tarp systems and troop seats. To make sure the load stays in the bed, the Knapheide Drop Down Side has a double locking where a spring loaded Quiet Latch initially secures the gate closed, and (2) slide lock tubes engage in the base of the body providing excellent strength and load sliding resistance. Knapheide can also provide a Solid, Removable side panel that attached to the bed for situations where constant access to the load from the sides of the body are not required. Again, the height of the side can be changed to meet the needs of the application.

Spare Tire Carrier In effort to provide the best space utilization outside of the cargo area of the vehicle, Knapheide has designed an underbody mounted Spare Tire Carrier that requires no tools to access. Simply remove the flanged tire retainer (using tire iron) and roll the tire off the carrier and over to the flat. It's that easy.

Stone Guards Sometimes a simple mud flap won't stop the big rocks and debris from flying up and causing damage. Using formed steel Stone Guards in combination with a short mud flat, the best of both worlds can be achieved.

Tarp Systems Be it a simple tarp and bow system, or a complex, catwalk access super structure, Knapheide can provide the Tarp System to meet the needs of the mission. Using a combination of formed tube and sheet metal, Knapheide can size the tarp system to the vehicle and the mission requirements, and in the color scheme desired. (Desert Tan, Olive Drab, Holly Green, etc.) For missions requiring camouflage netting or tarp deployment from above the vehicle, a load carrying catwalk can be installed to provide a flat walking surface on top of the tarp structure.

Tie Downs and Lashings Knapheide can provide multiple cargo and tarp lashings/tie down points, using multiple profiles from the simple u-hook, j-hook, d-hook, etc. For larger cargo, Knapheide can pre-install D-Ring Tie Down points in the cargo floor of the body which are rated to 10,000lbs and are Mil-Std-209k compliant. If ISO containers must be accommodated, a Mil-Std-209k ISO lock can be provided in all for corners, for either 10ft, 20ft, or both sizes of container.

Toolboxes Many vehicles are not setup to fully take advantage of ALL the storage space on the chassis. Knapheide has developed a quick-mount tool box system that bolts directly to either the chassis or Knapheide body to increase the functionality and storage space of an existing vehicle. Using pre-designed and tested hardware, the Knapheide storage box quickly attaches to the vehicle with simple tools, no welding or re-paint required.

Troops Seats Knapheide troops are designed to be fast deploying, functional, and then fold up out of the way. Available in many different lengths and sizes, Knapheide can customize the seat to meet your needs. Seat planks are made from sturdy FRP planks that have all punched holes lined and protected from the factory to resist water intrusion and can be colored to match the rest of the vehicle. The seats can be matched to the Knapheide Drop Down Sides, or be stand alone.

Under-Ride Protection If the deployment area of the vehicle has regulations requiring under-ride protection, Knapheide has a solution. Made from formed steel and tubing, Knapheide has created bolt-on, fully braced under-ride brackets which attach directly to the bed or chassis to cover the open areas along the sides of the vehicle.
