3 for HARSH ENVIRONMENTs The BT-4900N new generation dynamically positioned semi-submersible accommodation unit sets new standards for North Sea offshore accommodation. With capacity for up to 490 persons in single person cabins and a design which gives a greater geographical reach than competing units, the BT-4900N leads the way in meeting the growing demand for accommodation in the North Sea. In an increasingly competitive and tight labor-market, the BT-4900N will provide clients an opportunity to offer attractive and comfortable offshore living standards for the offshore workforce. With its architect-designed living quarters, the BT-4900N accommodation exhibits a high level of safety with efficient internal logistics for people and material. The living quarters of the BT-4900N are built around a large atrium, providing natural light to public areas, office areas and all cabins. The spacious recreation areas include various sports activities, spa-area and a cinema/auditorium which provide a high quality off-time experience for the guests. With optimized hull geometry, large airgap and enclosed gangway access routes, the BT-4900N ensures high gangway uptime, positive airgap and helicopter operations availability in the harshest environments, such as those in the Northern North Sea and West of Shetland, as well as in low temperature areas. The BT-4900N s features also include: Blind-zone free crane operations for all normal material handling, including provision container handling, with direct line of sight for the crane operator. One knuckle boom crane and one conventional lattice boom crane provide safe material handling and good reach. Sheltered access to and from the gangway connecting the host installation. An underneath deck passage connects the guest change rooms directly to the gangway stair tower. Two elevators and stairways connect the below deck passage with the semi-enclosed gangway. The sheltered access provides not only weather protection but also protection against hazards such as dropped objects at the work deck. High standards of safety by a hull with an inherent reserve buoyancy design and the latest type of freefall lifeboats in accordance with DNV-OS-E406 located on opposite side from the host installation and protected by the living quarters. Increased DP reliability in connection with a potential hazardous gas release on the host installation due to a novel (patent pending) diesel generator combustion air intake arrangement on the opposite end from the host installation. Further the exhaust gas outlets are located above the living quarter, providing maximum separation from and minimized risk for exhaust gas into the air intakes, both on the unit and on the host installation. Spacious deck areas including a large open deck storage area with workshop and client store. Provision container storage and handling is arranged with telescopic enclosed weather shelters, providing an in-door provision handling. Environmental care with a state-of-the-art drain handling and treatment system to ensure zero discharge and exhaust gas NOx reduction by SCRs. Operational flexibility with a secondary gangway position to allow the unit to operate on DP alongside a weather-vaning FPSO. The gangway can be relocated with the cranes on the Unit.

Sirius Offshore will be the leading provider of modern offshore accommodation solutions. Sirius Offshore s management has experience from several oil service companies, including operations of semi-submersible accommodation units. The management team has been instrumental in the establishment and development of successful offshore accommodation businesses in the past. In 2012 Sirius Offshore ordered a BT-4900N semi-submersible at DSIC Offshore and obtained options for two additional units. The objective is to meet the growing demand for North Sea accommodation solutions by providing ultra-premium offshore accommodation units with the highest standards of safety and operability. DSIC Offshore is one of China s leading turnkey contractors for offshore construction. It is the offshore arm of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, one of the world s largest shipyard groups, which has the longest offshore constructing history and track record in China. It has delivered ships and offshore projects to international clients since the mid eighties. DSIC Offshore has over the years successfully delivered 15 jack-ups, five semi-submersibles and five FPSOs (four including topside modules) to international and domestic clients. In 2009 DSIC Offshore moved to a dedicated new offshore construction yard, which includes a 180 x 120 m drydock. DSIC Offshore is currently constructing the BT-3500 BassDrill Beta semi-submersible. DSIC Offshore operates in accordance with an ISO 9001, ISO and OHSAS quality assurance system certified by DNV.
