Dog licensing for 2019 begins October 15 th. There will be a public hearing prior to the Selectmen s meeting at 7:00 pm on October 16 th at the town office pertaining to the two licensed junkyards in town. The public is welcome to attend. Our annual rabies clinic will be held at the Town Office on Saturday, November 3 rd, 1-3pm The new Barbara Bush Children s Hospital License Plate will be available Oct 1 st The new Veteran s License Plate will be available / required beginning Nov 13 th. If you have a Veteran s Vanity Plate you wish to keep you will have to pay your excise at the Town Office and then proceed to a branch office to complete your registration. This applies to Disabled Veteran s Plates as well. You will be required to pay your excise at the Town Office and then proceed to a branch office to get a new Disabled Veteran s Plate.

If you have a little bit of time to share please contact me at klaird@harrisonmaine.org or Adult Co-ed Softball - Weekly Every Thursday night! Meet us down at Crystal Lake Park for some adult coed softball! Warms ups start between 6-6:30 and games will be played if enough players show! PIYO Weekly Every Thursday morning at the Community Room 9:00-10:00. $7 per class or $30 for 5 classes. Bring a yoga mat and water! Canoe / Kayak Group Weekly We are still looking for those that would like to join our canoe/kayak group! We will meet weekly and venture out onto our beautiful lakes! Mainers on the Titanic, his first book, traces the stories of passengers on that fateful ship who had ties to Maine. Monday, October 29, 4:30 p.m.: Read to Bear Come and practice your read-aloud skills with the big dog who loves a good book!

FRYEBURG FAIR ~ Sunday September 30 th to Sunday October 7 th Fryeburg Fair Senior Trip Tuesday, October 2 nd 9:30am to 3:00pm The bus will leave the Harrison Town Office at 9:30am and will return for 3:00pm. If you are 65 years old, or older, you get in for FREE. Under 65, pay $12 per person. Harrison Historical Society Wednesday, October 3 rd 7pm Come enjoy a lively panel style discussion, featuring Don Davis, Jim Tarbox, Larry Newth, and Allan Denison. Jill Ghi will preside as Moderator. At the museum on Haskell Hill Road. Senior Social Tuesday, October 9 th 11:00am Sponsored by the Lions Club. Chicken Pot Pie, crescent rolls, water, juice, coffee, and strawberry shortcake. Bingo! $3.00 per person. Lake Region Fashion Show Saturday, October 13 th 7pmReturning for its 2 nd year at the Caswell Conservancy Center, 42 Main St, Harrison. This year s event will provide entertainment, an auction and refreshments. The show is sponsored by Firefly Boutique, Sassy & Blue, and Sports Haus Ski & Sport Shop, all located in Bridgton, and Kargos located in Windham. Richard Sykes will MC the event. Please respond by October 15 th as they have a waiting list. The Nutcracker The Maine State Ballet Saturday, December 8 th 9:30am to 5:15pm The bus will leave the Harrison Town Office at 9:30am and will return for 5:15pm. The fee is $50 for Harrison/Waterford residents, $55 for all others. This includes your ticket, lunch, and transportation.
