3 Technological sinergy Innse-Berardi & Ingersoll: a combination of technology and experience The Machine Tools division of the Camozzi Group which is dedicated to the production of large size machine tools and is made up of two historical brands of the sector: the Italian Innse-Berardi go from large size machine tools like the horizontal milling-boring machines and vertical milling machines, to FMS integrated systems (Flexible Manufacturing System), to machines for fibre deposition. Spa and the American Ingersoll Inc. On one side, the American Ingersoll Inc., founded in 1887 and which since then has experienced a continuous development of more and more complex machines, from the largest milling machine in the world, installed in 1953, to the Ingersoll High Velocity Machines, which are quickly transforming the production process in order to simultaneously provide maximum speed and flexibility. On the other side Innse-Berardi, made up from the fusion between historical companies of the Italian industrial scenario: the Officine meccaniche Rino Berardi and the Innse. A history of success always tied to innovation, from the making of the first circular transfer machine in the forties, to the more modern INNSE-BERARDI THE FRANCHI IS FOUNDED, LATER FRANCHI GREGORINI. MACHINE TOOLS ARE ALSO PRODUCED RINO BERARDI PRODUCES THE FIRST SENSITIVE DRILL, MILE STONE OF THE BERARDI COMPANY RINO BERARDI PRODUCES THE FIRST SINGLE-SEATER CAR IN THE WORLD ALSO THE OFF. MECC. USA Thanks to the production sites in Italy and in the United States of America, branch companies present in Russia, China, Germany and a net of service centres scattered all over the world, the Machine Tools division of the Camozzi Group is able to assure all its customers the same service quality. Besides the sales in the territory and the search for new customers, the presence of the branch companies and of the service centres is, as a matter of fact, fundamental for working side-by side with the customer both in defining the machine features, and in supporting the customer also during the process of commissioning, field service, formation, spare parts management and retrofit. The branch companies are always made up of local people with specialised technicians who can rapidly intervene for ordinary and extraordinary maintenance meanwhile there s also a teleservice for a nonstop remote service.
