2 What s New in LINKFRESH AX 2016 Available from September 2016, this software release represents a major enhancement uplift for the food industry specific ERP software. The new release includes over 50 enhancements and new features to the fresh food functionality further increasing the suitability of the LINKFRESH AX 2016 solution for fast moving food production environments where enhanced time-based supply chain management is critical; automating steps and systemizing the management of exceptions to achieve faster, controlled results. LINKFRESH AX 2016 gives the best ever degree of functional fit out of the box. This minimizes upgrade costs for customers, accelerates implementation times and enables the greatest degree of functional flexibility, which is key to this sector. 3 Turbo Cross-Dock LINKFRESH AX 2016 uses configurable time-based location directives to apply rules to automatically execute stock movement instructions. Production, Sales, Procurement, Warehousing For example, when raw materials or finished goods are booked into stock, LINKFRESH AX 2016 will look at where and when this inventory is required in production or sales. If the raw materials are scheduled to be consumed in production within 1 hour, or if the finished goods are due to be on a truck in 30 minutes, a time based location directive would automatically issue a stock movement request to the correct production line or loading bay. If the stock was not needed urgently, it would be directed as normal to the relevant storage location. This is a great enabler for very fast moving warehouses and production environments, enabling Just in time (JIT) capability to your AX environment. Consignment Pooling and Grower Return Pooling LINKFRESH AX 2016 will calculate the payback for a grower or pool of growers across a set of related consignments within a Pool, to achieve a highly configurable weighted average payback, based on the performance of the pool, but using the specific contract terms of each grower within the pool. Finance, Grower Accounting Advanced Catchweight Industry specific Catchweight functionality for food and fresh produce to exceed the capabilities of the standard catchweight functionality available in Microsoft Dynamics AX. Unlike standard AX catchweight functionality, LINKFRESH Catchweight can be used in conjunction with all warehousing features, and unlike standard AX, also takes into consideration the weight of distribution packaging which is crucial in the effective management of produce weight. 4 Pallet Configurator A new Pallet Configurator to manage the entire pallet allocation, building and stacking process to optimize space in the warehouse, and to maximize On Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries. Inventory Sales Warehousing Pallet build instructions are automatically issued to the warehouse at the optimum time once the goods to be packed are available. Optimized build instructions depending on type of produce, ie. fragile goods nearer the top; don t put limes and banana on the same pallet. Retailer specific packing requirements can be catered for. Pre-configuring pallets to a specific structure, permits export documentation to be created earlier in the process, and shortens lead times to customers. PALLET CONFIGURATOR

5 GTIN Registration Extension to allow different GTIN codes per LINKFRESH dimension set (Grade, Variety, Country of origin, etc). Traceability Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) PTI features for product traceability, particularly for US market. Traceability Time Based QC Enhanced features for Quality Control; such as time triggered tests and recurring tests. Quality Control Time Managed Supply Chain Enhanced end to end time-based supply chain management features, with alerts and exception management features to take action immediately if is required. Procurement, Production, Sales, Inventory Transfer of Ownership The ability to transfer ownership of inventory to or from a 3rd party, or between 3rd parties. Third Party Services

6 Value Added Logistics Additional features to help manage and automate the provision of Value Added Logistics activities, such as automated directives to wrap or unwrap a pallet if certain condition exist. Sales, Warehousing This allows for the automation of exception management in the LINKFRESH mobile warehousing application, reducing the need for warehouse operatives to be given specific instructions or remember obscure processes outside of the main business system. VALUE ADDED LOGISTICS Trading Board An enhanced LINKFRESH Trading Board to support high speed order entry and rapid supply and demand management. Sales TRADING BOARD

7 Enhanced Distribution Packaging New Proactive Distribution Packaging Management features to track full vs empty pallets against planned production jobs, enabling users to proactively plan their requirements for distribution packaging. Warehousing, Production This feature also provides for the improved management of different packaging configurations, with the option to charge customers for distribution packaging. Extended Business Intelligence reporting capabilities Extended Business Intelligence cubes for improved reporting capabilities, to include variables such as waste and yield management figures. Reporting Quality Control User Interface A new streamlined user interface for the electronic capture of Quality Control data. Multiple test entries can be made in a tabular format. Quality Control Non-Conformances Enhanced non-conformance management features to enable the allocation of non-conformance related costs to consignments for true consignment profitability analysis. 8 Order Entry Enhancement New Order Entry features such as extended item lists, for acceleration of repeat orders, and to facilitate upselling, valuable additions in the food industry. Sales Enhanced Commodity Pricing Commodity Pricing to globally update pricing data, preventing repetitive pricing adjustments. Also takes into account historic consignment cost and daily commodity pricing conditions, in order to maximize profit margins. Pricing Mobile User Interface Overall optimization of the user interface for the LINKFRESH Advanced Mobile Applications. Quality Control, Warehouse, Production Wave Integration Further integration of LINKFRESH with the Standard Microsoft Dynamics AX Wave* functionality to better accommodate high volume production environments. Sales, Production *Wave picking is an application of short interval scheduling, to assign orders into groupings (waves) and release them together so as to allow the coordination the several parallel and sequential activities required to complete the work.
