1.0 Scope of application The packaging guidelines apply for all deliveries. Variations or modifications have to be approved by REAL INNENAUSBAU AG. These packaging guidelines are valid immediately on receipt and have to be implemented. 2. Functions of packaging The most important functions of packaging are protective, storage as well as loading and transportation functions. Protective function means the protection of goods against mechanical and environmental influences as well as against loss of the content. The storage function of packaging should ensure a packaging design enabling easy, clearly arranged and safe storage. Loading and transportation function of packaging means that packaging can basically be handled easily, efficiently and safely. For all means of transport, an adequate type of packaging has to be chosen which is appropriate for the goods and ensures safety during shipment. For environmental reasons, REAL INNENAUSBAU AG prefers reusable packaging. If reusable packaging cannot be used, recyclable packaging has to be chosen. If REAL INNENAUSBAU AG has to bear the costs for the disposal of non recyclable or unusual packing material, we reserve the right to invoice these costs to the supplier. Transport damages which are caused by insufficient packaging are at the expense of the supplier. 3. Packaging instructions 3.1 General packaging requirements In order to guarantee the above-mentioned functions, the packaging materials have to meet the following requirements: All types of packaging have to be environmentally friendly and made of reusable materials REAL INNENAUSBAU AG page 1 / 10

Recyclable packaging has to be used rather than disposable packaging The right packaging materials have to be chosen in order to protect the goods against external influences like damages, theft and bad weather. Different types of goods have to be packed separately or to be protected against mixing during transport The nature of the packed goods has to be shown on a label. The goods have to be delivered in appropriate packaging. An uninterrupted transportation from the supplier to REAL INNENAUSBAU AG should be ensured by appropriate packaging. The packaging materials should allow for multiple and easy handling. The packaging units should be stackable, if possible The packaging should be appropriate for the respective mode of shipment 3.2 General requirements concerning loading equipment On principle, all deliveries have to be effected with undamaged euro- flat pallets. Shipment on self-made pallets has to be avoided, as far as this is possible. The loading equipment has to be adapted to the transportation with modern industrial trucks and suitable for storage on a high rack. This regulation particularly applies for custombuilt pallets (e. g. pallets that are longer or wider than usual). In case of these pallets, the entry height and entry width have to be respected strictly and special agreement and approval by REAL INNENAUSBAU AG are required. entry height entry width entry width REAL INNENAUSBAU AG page 2 / 10

Technical Data: Length: 1200 mm Width: 800 mm Total height: 144 mm Entry height: min. 100 mm Entry width: min. 560 mm Tare weight: kg Adm. total weight: kg Footprint: 0,96 m² Deliveries which arrive on damaged pallets are normally not accepted or the extra costs caused (repacking etc.) are invoiced to the supplier. We are talking about not usable pallets if: one board is missing or broken angularly or diagonally bottom or top edge boards are extremely splintered exposing two or more nail or screw shafts on one board / exposing one nail or screw shaft on more than two boards. one block is missing or extremely broken or splintered exposing one or more nail or screw shafts. obviously inadmissible components used for reparation purposes (e. g. boards or blocks which are too thin, too small or too short) the general condition of the pallet is so bad that load bearing cannot be guaranteed anymore (rotten, foul or several splintered boards or blocks) A documentation of the damage, including pictures, is issued and becomes part of the supplier assessment. 4 4. Delivery instructions 4.1. Packing instructions On principle, loose items have to be delivered inside packing pieces made of solid cardboard indicating the total quantity. Equal articles may not be packed into different parcels. Packages must ALWAYS be homogeneous. In individual cases, special agreements (e. g. mixed pallets) are possible; however, prior consultation and approval by REAL INNENAUSBAU AG are required. When it comes to mixed pallets, the supplier has to make sure that transport packaging is labelled as mixed shipment and that all items inside the parcel are indicated in the packing (see 4.3) list, including REAL article number and respective total quantity. The collection of different packaged goods in one loading unit implicates that every single package has to be labelled separately with a goods tag. At least, the following information has to be indicated on the package label: REAL article number number of packages REAL order number designation/description quantity final recipient weight unloading point package number On the pallet, the packages have to be packetized to a compact, protected shipping unit, without any protrusions. Moreover, the shipping unit has to be rack-storable. REAL INNENAUSBAU AG page 4 / 10

Pallet units have to be protected with plastic or steel bands and shrink-wrapped if possible. Strapping bands cutting into the cardboard packages are not admissible; this has to be avoided by application of edge protection profiles. In case of partial removal of goods from one shipping unit, stability of the remaining quantity has to be ensured Labelling of goods Goods which require special protection or handling have to be labelled accordingly. 6 All packages have to be labelled with tags approved by REAL INNENAUSBAU AG. Please find the corresponding form provided by REAL in the download area under These labels have to be in a DIN A4 landscape format and must not be adhesivebacked. The REAL article number has to be indicated on the label in a type size of at least 100 pt. When labelling the goods, a good readability from outside the packaging has to be guaranteed at any time. To this end, the goods are labelled on the front and on the longitudinal side of the packaging. Furthermore, readability of the label should not be affected by transportation or other exterior influences. This way, a perfect allocation by our warehouse personnel is guaranteed. Example of pallet labelling: REAL article number in a type size of at least 100 pt REAL/own order number Shipping date has to be indicated If several shipping units belong together, this has to be indicated as shown in the picture Labelling of goods on front and longitudinal side: REAL INNENAUSBAU AG page 6 / 10

4.3 Packing list If a shipment consists of several packages (mixed pallet) or several pallets, a packing list has to be issued for each transport unit, in addition to the delivery note, indicating the following information and fixed to the corresponding loading unit: REAL article number brief description of individual parts net weight per package quantity package number Please find the corresponding form in the download area of the REAL homepage under 4.4 Delivery notes Shipments which are not accompanied by a delivery note will not be accepted. For each and every unloading point, a separate delivery note has to be issued. The delivery note has to contain at least the following information: supplier data (name, address, telephone, contact person) address of recipient (premises of recipient, unloading point according to delivery schedule) total quantity of the shipment as well as quantities/weights per loading unit REAL article number REAL article description REAL order number number of pool pallets if applicable delivery note number delivery date defined by REAL date of issue reference to subsequent deliveries if the ordered quantity is not delivered completely REAL INNENAUSBAU AG page 7 / 10
