Integration case study In 2014, ferry operator Red Funnel, a long-time customer of Hogia, chose to improve their customers experience by integrating and implementing Hogia s Hogia Traveller Information Management System, TIMS. TIMS helps Red Funnel to distribute real-time passenger information across multiple channels, targeting customers directly affected by operational changes. Consistent information is displayed on the terminal departure boards, on the Red Funnel website, distributed to subscribing members of the public via SMS, pushed to Twitter and distributed to staff via internal . Red Funnel s user interface has been enhanced with the seamless integration between Bookit and PubTrans requiring service changes, actions and disruption information to be entered only once and carried through the whole system. Additionally, Red Funnel s vessel timing application has been integrated with Hogia PubTrans, via a standard SIRI-VM interface providing Red Funnel with the ability to display up to the minute delay information on public facing screens at the terminals and on their web site. Red Funnel carries both daily commuters, tourists and commercial traffic to the Island throughout the year TIMS allows all passengers to stay up-to-date with service information in real-time. 5 Terminal Operating System to optimise operation Hogia provides solutions that increase efficiency at ports and terminals. Each solution has a flexible design, making it suitable for large ports as well as smaller terminals. The system is able to manage transports by sea, rail and road in relation to the terminal and can handle transitions between different modes of transport as data can be transferred in real time between different operators. Besides financial and environmental benefits, an efficient Terminal Operation System (TOS) also creates space for organisational growth and development and improves the readiness for differentiations in goods volumes. About 30 sea and rail terminals in Northern Europe and Canada use the system today with customers like the port of Trelleborg, Marine Atlantic, Jernhusen and Bring. In 2014, Canadian ferry operator Marine Atlantic became the first customer outside Europe to use Hogia TOS. The solution, being a seamless integration between BOOKIT and Hogia TOS is one of the first of its kind in the marine industry, with real-time data synchronisation between terminal operating system and ferry reservation system. Kicki Bjurström, Managing Dircetor of Hogia Terminal Systems Developer of Scandinavian Transport Management Systems Hogia has over 600 hauliers and transport companies in Scandinavia as customers. They use our standard systems MobiLast and UniTrans to automate and digititalise the logistics chain from ordering transport to delivery. The driver uses the Hogia Transport Mobile app to recieve the assignments and reports back when it s completed. We keep track of the vehicle location. This allows the customer to take new assignments on an existing transport at short notice, optimising resources whilst ensuring they know exactly where the vehicles are at all times. MoveIT is a new cloud-based service that connects different transport followed through all forms of transportation by road or rail, to facilitate a more efficient transport flow. Hogia also offers software for business administration, payroll and personnel administration, which are integrated with our operating systems for the transport industry.
