6 What is FSR? Freight Security Requirements A list with minimum security requirements; 3 security levels; A, B and C; Buyer will set the security level, A, B or C based on value / volume of his product passing through suppliers supply chain. A and B levels will be audited (assessments) by an independent auditors and certified.. From ; FSR 2009 replaced FSR

7 TAPA FSR 2009 TAPA FSR Freight Security Requirements o Objective: to Ensure safe and secure in transit storage /warehousing of assets. o Minimum acceptable standards throughout the supply chain and methods to maintain those standards o Outlines process and specification to attain TAPA certification. o TAPA members intend to select suppliers that meet or exceed TAPA certification requirements o TAPA FSR will be referenced in any contract between Supplier and Buyer 2007 Transported Asset Protection Association, All Rights Reserved

9 TAPA FSR 2009 Risk assessments and Audits Supplier agrees to Buyer s right to conduct risk assessment or audit of all transit, storage and warehousing locations used for Buyer s assets Supplier shall ensure the TAPA certified audit body is engaged to ensure FSR audits/ certification ( A and B) Pass criteria : FSR audit score is 60% or higher in each individual section ( excluding 6, 7 and 8) and ALL MANDATORY Items are scored at least 1.

10 TAPA FSR 2009 Classification A and B Certification audit conducted 1st year, validation audit conducted the following year (Certificates are issued for 2 years). Supplier Self Assessment: Annually and submitted to the Certification Body who performed the original audit, within 2 weeks of original certificate anniversary C No audits by Buyer or independent assessor

11 Supplier Facility Security Requirements Supplier s facility security based on : Good physical barriers Efficient operation of intruder alarm and CCTV surveillance Strict adherence to operational procedures Facility location TAPA audit form specifies tactics identified through knowledge and experience best known methods, proven operational processes Alternative methods acceptable if they result in meeting or exceeding security requirements of FSR

Security procedures Control of shipping documents/information so that details of Buyer s assets are restricted to those with a need to know All drivers identified using government-issued photo-id (e.g.; drivers' license; passport or national ID card, etc.) Documented maintenance programs in place for all technical (physical) security installations/systems (CCTV, Access controls, Intruder detection, Lighting) Criminal history check in place encompassing 5-year criminal history and employment check (vetting within constraints of local country laws).
