1 THE EVENT

2 Introduction Dear friends, The agenda for PharmacomItalia is an end point. Two days of in-depth work inspired by good practice sharing. Day one, the sense of community spirit. This year's theme: the role of the logistics provider in the pharmaceutical industry. That essential supplier management which the technical committee sees as the ground zero in the identification of contact elements or discrepancies between the Pharmaceutical Industry production and logistics services. The agenda is a storyboard and together we will figure out the scenario with questions, curiosity and debates. In our Story Board we shall have five scenarios which means expert presentations -, going through a very simple pattern, essential, and would say even concise. The forum for dialogue will be established together on each single scenario during the plenary session and debates will be based on real technical experiences, solutions and criteria which external Pharma and Logistic Industry should correspond. On day two, we look to the future. Pharmatech, with four working groups, inspired by the need of understanding if and which hardware and software tool could really be of help in handling the complex equation of our tomorrows as experts in the sector: absolute quality, economic efficiency and minimal processing times, both in production and logistics. So we'll have fun with workshops of simulation and virtual reality, where the focus is on the most advanced digital technologies compatible with the quality and management criteria of the pharmaceutical product. It will be a professional environment. And, as such, well prepared and critically focused. A Community of persons brought together by the desire to do and do better. If we have the courage. The aim is to start using a common language. Our mutual knowledge and technical exchange will reduce the distance. It depends on all of us. We're convinced it will work. We're genuine, neutral and ready to make it happen. We hope to see many of you there. Because after all, PharmacomItalia belongs to you. All we've done is to provide a container. It is up to you to fill it up... Thank you and see you soon! Rome, 08 october 2018 Marco Del Giudice Fabrizio Iacobacci

5 Below are the topics addressed by the working groups. Once again, the idea is to address, as a community, technical issues which link the world of pharmaceutical manufacturing with logistics. Today's technology reduces distances, facilitates processes, simplifies operations and optimizes relationships and methods. How the working sessions will be run: with a maximum of 25 participants per group, each workshop will discuss the chosen issue in a separate room. The groups will be supported by presentations by expert developers of high-tech solutions and practical experience (real time simulations applied to case studies). At the end of the sessions, representatives from each working group (or the experts themselves) will spend just 15 minutes sharing the outcome of their discussions with the members of the other groups. This means that all delegates at PharmacomItalia will have the opportunity to prioritise a single issue which interests them most, also listening to feedback and share content from all the other groups. It's a simple way to work as a community without getting lost in lengthy presentations. Attendees will be asked at registration on the first day of PharmacomItalia which of the 4 working groups they prefer. In the absence of an expressed preference, or in the event of oversubscription in one or more groups, the PharmacomItalia organizers will splits attendees in groups. PHARMATECH WORKING GROUP 1 Data sharing and cloud-based platforms: the simplification of risk analysis in lane validation PHARMATECH WORKING GROUP 2 Heat mapping in real time of temperature-controlled areas: how to optimize times and methods of surveys in the field PHARMATECH WORKING GROUP 3 The role of a passive packaging system: the virtual box for the simulation and analysis of packaging components without a climatic chamber PHARMATECH WORKING GROUP 4 Using apps to manage the audit process for logistics providers: digital simplification to standardize the checking process
