21 CONCLUSIONS REMARKS To allow interoperability with different user requirements on data formats and means of data collection the FMIARC-geoportal, Is part of a spatial data infrastructure that implements OGC web services and also offers a data discovery service, by means of catalogue service. The catalogue service enables the users to publish and search the collection of metadata for data and services. The metadata was based on inspire standards. This allows for compatibility with data ingestion in various GIS systems for different users. Also for the community at large, data can also be browsed and visualized from a friendly web client. Hence catering for a wide variety of users from a scientific perspective to a simple user. 21
