Working Around Challenges GM South Korea regularly ships huge volumes across diverse trade lanes across the globe. Traditionally, the entire billing and documentation was done manually which hampered its process efficiency. UN/ED FACT is used globally and is Maersk s preferred EDI standard ANSI X12 (DOC) ANSI X12 is a US national standard developed by the Accredited Standards Committee of the American National Standards Institute. Although available globally, ANSI X12 is primarily used in North America. and XML (DOC) XML, also referred to as extensible Markup Language, is another format of which is agreed between business partners.
