POSITION DESCRIPTION Position: Terminal Yard Planner Responsible to: Terminal Supervisor Responsible for: Nil Purpose: Managing the day-to-day planning and coordination of container movements to and from ships, and to/from/within the yard to optimise workflow and ensure efficient use of storage areas. Minimum Requirements: Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to make sense of complex information resulting in the delivery of quality decision making Previous experience in a planning role within logistics, warehousing, freight forwarding or port operations An ability to mentally picture objects in 3 dimensions, and apply theory to practice Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to think quickly on your feet and focus under tight time constraints Well-developed computer skills with an ability to quickly learn and get the best out of systems Excellent health, personal resilience and ability to manage and maintain focus The flexibility to work in a 24/7 customer service environment and adapt your approach to match shifting demands of different situations

Coordinate the receiving and delivery of import and export containers Yard allocation using Jade Master Terminal (JMT) Regulatory documentation including Customs and MPI Manage rail container Customer waiting times Rail liaison and feedback Rail shuttle efficiency Optimising yard for efficient storage and handling FIFO accuracy FIFO management of empty containers at gate out 2. Plan and oversee efficient use of terminal yard Prepare yard and ship exchange tasks with customers, cargo operators and other internal and external customers Customer feedback Interdepartmental feedback KPI monitoring Prepare plans to determine the sequence of receival and delivery operations, taking into consideration available yard storage space and shipping instructions Ensure containers are stacked in an efficient way and with a minimum of delay Minimise unpaid plant moves and travelling distances Closely monitor vehicular routes to minimise risk to health and safety and ensure optimum efficiency Co-ordinate reefer operation inspections and ensuring all safety requirements are met

3 Job Description 3 Terminal Yard Planner 3. MSC vessel planning back up relief Cover the Terminal Planner as required. Plan completed prior to vessel arrival Planning of containers to and from the vessel using JMT Liaise with MSC Fremantle to confirm ship plan Provide back up support for vessel planning Plan approved by MSC Fremantle and vessel. Plan communicated to all affected parties. Feedback from MSC 4. Competent in all Terminal IT systems including Depot Pro and JMT Assist with new technology for implementation. Adequately trained in the Terminal IT systems Fully competent Feedback from MSC Feedback from Operators Feedback from customers (formal and informal) Training assessments (As appropriate) 5. Positive customer relationships Promote a customer driven approach to match customer needs Ensure customer priorities are promptly actioned Customer satisfaction survey Feedback from customers (formal and informal) Ensure that information is correctly received and transmitted to/from customers Provide customers with terminal loading reports and post-exchange statistics (including arrival/departure sailing times) Look for opportunities to maintain and improve internal and external customer relations. Administration functions Liaise with internal and external customers via agreed communication methods Ensure that prior to vessel arrival and cut off, all containers have been receipted and reflected accurately within JMT Engage in monitoring container movements, processing, and updating information as required. Communicate with forklift drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations in the Terminal Forklift driver feedback Internal and external customer feedback Accuracy of information 9.
