Basic pre-condition for the acquisition was relocating the headquarters to Duisburg to expand duisport s own service portfolio Service level should have been increased Integrated concept approach: Seaport connection will be designed more cheaply for customers Logistics services will be bundled in the duisport group Combined value-added services will be developed Step by step solution oriented approach: Existing processes and future alternatives were questioned Limiting factors and bottle-necks were identified Optimized overall solutions were set as the most important target Logistics possibilities of the locations were transferred into the master plan > Gaining a total of 45,000 m² new effective area > Filling in the little used port basin with 1,000,000 m³ of material excellence in consulting 60
