2 BERTHAGE AND ANCHORAGE NOTICE EFFECTIVE: January 1, 2019 NOTICE N-1 I 1. 6 WHARFAGE NOTICE EFFECTIVE: January 1, 2019 NOTICE N-2 APPENDIX II Container cargo manifest process and charges: The vessel operator, owner, vessel operating common carrier party, or agent are individually or collectively responsible to provide the Halifax Port Authority a complete cargo manifest within twenty four (24) hours of a discharging vessels arrival and seventy two (72) hours from a loading vessels departure at any Halifax Port Authority terminal. Manifest information will include the cargo weight in metric tonnes (W) and measure in cubic meters (CBM). Further, the Halifax Port Authority will have access to loading and discharge lists, vessel tonnage licenses, billings of lading or any other pertinent documents for the purpose of obtaining necessary information for correct invoicing of charges. Halifax Port Authority may charge: a. Manifest provided by EDI $0.00 b. Paper manifest / non-edi $0.67 per record Terminal report in absence of a. or b. $51.61 per port call Any new carrier to the port or returning to the port after January 1, 2019 may be exempt for 90 days. FREE TIME Export Goods All export goods moving across facilities covered by the License Agreement will be granted eight (8) free days. Goods on Halifax Port Authority property in excess of this free time limit will be subject to storage charges as per Item 2 above. The eight days free time will be calculated backwards from the day the vessel commences loading (i.e. the first day of loading will be the 8th day of free time, if applicable). Goods floored prior to the free time are subject to storage. No free time is allowed on goods floored for a vessel and shut-out or not loaded to the vessel. Storage charges will apply on such goods from initial flooring date on the total amount of cargo shut-out or not loaded. Import Goods All import goods moving across facilities covered by the License Agreement will be granted eight (8) free days. Goods on Halifax Port Authority property in excess of this free time limit will be subject to storage charges as per Item 2 above. The eight days free time will be calculated forward from the day the vessel commences unloading (i.e. the first day of unloading will be the first day of free time, if applicable). Steel rails will be granted thirty (30) days free time calculated from the day the vessel completes discharge. Steel coils will be granted fifteen (15) days free time from delivery. The Halifax Port Authority may, in its discretion, extend or limit any free time. Page 2 of 2.
