5 Paint Collection Sites Accepted Products: Architectural (Household) Paint & All types of paint aerosols Maximum container size is 25 litres for paint and 680 grams or 24 ounces for paint aerosols. Full, partially full and empty containers are acceptable.

6 Light Collection Sites Accepted Products: Residential-use fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) only Does not accept light bulbs that have been crushed on purpose (i.e. by a drum-top crusher, also known as a bulb crusher) Expanding in IC&I sector

7 HHW Collection Sites Accepted Household Products (No IC&I Waste): Corrosive Products (cleaners) Flammable Liquids (gasoline, paint thinner, camp fuel) Domestic Pesticides and Toxics Physically Hazardous (non-refillable fuel cylinders)

8 Types of Services Collection Events PCA supports local communities that are interested in hosting single day HHW collection event(s) Program products only PCA provides : collection supplies, staffing, transportation Community provides: Collection site Some staffing Event promotion

19 Shipment Procedures Arranging for shipment, a collection site fills out a pickup request form, indicating: Your collection site/company name and location. The number of bins or drums for pickup. Additional supplies required (labels etc.). Preparation for shipment: Ensure the lid of the collection container is secure. Ensure that the collection container has the proper TDG label affixed. Sign the shipping document provided by the transporter.
